I have been in the crypto space for a relatively short time and one thing I have noticed is that cryptocurrency thrives on hype (hopium).

If we are to be realistic, we are all here for the profits, yes we love the tech but the money is the motivation for our being here.

Subsocial has IMO failed to apply this fundamental price and that is why it is not at it's peak. Nobody actually builds in silence in web3 because there are lots of great products with great potentials and utilities.

So everyone is in a competition of the larger market audience.

For a socialfi to thrive, it needs a combination of people from different sphere, background, knowledge these are the things that foster mainstream adoption.

You can see from the chart up there, that the value for sub has been fairly stable since it was launched, if the adoption has spiked, it would show in the chart since that is the primary use for coin, but because the same people are the ones being recycled in the ecosystem it hasn't.

If we keep recycling the same web3 people in this social media, it is only a matter of few months before we all desert here, because trust me, other mouth watering opportunities will come.

But what makes it worthwhile is the connection you build here, the fanbase you build.

But how can you build a fanbase when we have a limited number of users and everyone is competing for their attention?

My first question to the team after the first few minutes of trying out this Dapp was ........where is the place I go copy my referral link ?

The team said it is not yet available but they are working on it. I bet if there was a referral button, a lot of us would have brought in more people than we currently have.

One good thing about referral is that is motivates you to bring in more people especially when you earn rewards for onboarding those said people or you share a fraction in the earnings of the people, the earninf from one referral may not count but when you compound it for 10 persons, you will make out something reasonable.

We are here to socialize and make money and every opportunity to earn from this social in a positive way is an opportunity worth taking.
