See why altcoins are not yet pumping with Bitcoin

By Ticktalker | ticktalker'sblog | 6 Dec 2023

The recent continuous pump of Bitcoin has been met with a lot of speculations for altcoins who seem to be making little or no response to the present market.

This is the right time to hold on to your alts bag because if you let your greed have the best of you,, you will be left chasing the wind and profit nothing.

There is a simple psychology of the market liquidity inflow and there is a reason why alts have started pumping, it is called the alts season, it takes up immediately after there is a cap on the inflow of liquidity into Bitcoin.

𝙀𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚 𝘽𝙞𝙩𝙘𝙤𝙞𝙣 𝙥𝙪𝙢𝙥𝙨, 𝙞𝙩'𝙨 𝙜𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙧𝙚 𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙠𝙚𝙩.

Worried that some of your bags have underperformed versus Bitcoin? Don't be.

In both past cycles I've felt incredible fear and greed for missing out when Bitcoin pumped.

I have always been holding altcoins more often than Bitcoin.

And on several occasions Bitcoin has had moments of outperformance and not.

There are always exceptions and certain projects that have defied Bitcoin's outperformance rally.

But looking at the entire market, there have always been times where Bitcoin has been in the spotlight vs when altcoins have been in the spotlight.

Once Bitcoin significantly rallied and my bags fell behind, it always left a sour taste behind.

Namely me thinking I fell behind and was a fool for not just holding Bitcoin.

These moments have always been short-lived however because when Bitcoin pumps:

𝙈𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙡𝙞𝙦𝙪𝙞𝙙𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙧𝙚 𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙠𝙚𝙩.

And this liquidity is spread around the entire market once Bitcoin cools-off.

This is what is usually referred to as a true altseason.

The hype and surge on Bitcoin has pulled in many new investors.

Investors grow impatient however once this ends and Bitcoin consolidates.

They soon realize there are 1000s of other crypto projects and move on to catch the ride somewhere there.

So whether your portfolio is lagging behind on Bitcoin's rally surge or not:

𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙝𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝘽𝙞𝙩𝙘𝙤𝙞𝙣 𝙜𝙤𝙚𝙨, 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙛𝙪𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙗𝙖𝙜𝙨.

Every time I underperformed Bitcoin in the past, I completely caught up to it and more soon after.

So chill Altcoins are not waiting for the second coming of Christ before they pump it is just the market playing off.

So whether you hold BTC or not. Celebrate and be happy for the pump so enough it will get to your portfolio.

A good investment ratio will be to hold 60% Bitcoin and 40% alts, that way you can maintain a steady balance of your portfolio irrespective of the market season. And this also follows the total market capital of the entire crypto ecosystem.

It tells you something about your future portfolio valuation.
