Gamefi refers to Blockchain based games and Dapps that can be played on-chain and reward players with a form of incentives either in tokens or NFT.

Many video games are now moving on-chain and new ones are being developed on a steady basis. These games provides users the freedom to interact in a decentralized manner and foster community building around the blockchain ecosystem.

Gamefi related transactions and wallet have been on a rise since 2021 which can be attributed to the incentives users get from using these platforms. Now the gamefi sector has become a major driver of growth and development in the cryptocurrency industry and it has also suffice as one of the easy ways to onboard newbies into the crypto space.

The gamefi industry is also one of the fastest growing in TVL, with a total valued lock of over $4 billion.

Gamblefi on the other hand is an addiction that has been brought on-chain. A lot of people have lost and gained properties from gambling. GambleFi is a new class of tokens that are built around betting on casino games, poker, and sports.
