Airdrops are one of the biggest buzzword in cryptocurrency industry, especially as everyone is trying to get ready for the next bull season.

Many people now want to leverage on the testimonies of early comers in cryptocurrency who made quite a fortune from just farming airdrops. Some of those early comers made enough to get them a Lambo, a house, exotic life. 

These testimonies have birthed a new wave of belief system that is making many people see airdrops as free money. But is that what it actually is?

Airdrop is a reward mechanism for early adopters of a platform, it is also a way ecosystem rewards their most active users or people with high transactions when a new protocol is launched on it.

Some of the airdrops which have rewarded people the most did so because they had a good TVL and the project wasn't based on hopium.

Most projects launching presently are largely based on hopium and very little backing but people farm them with all energy regardless and at the end it looks like a fruitless endeavor.

For this reasons, people get rewarded differently for farming these airdrops and most times some people don't get rewarded at all.

Farming airdrops most times goes beyond interaction with the testnet, you may need to drop a review of the test and your address together to get rewarded. And for layer one Blockchain you sometimes need a large volume of transactions to qualify.
