A real life story of a crypto enthusiast chasing millions

By Ticktalker | ticktalker'sblog | 7 Jan 2024

The road to riches isn't always easy, though listening to some people have made it seemed otherwise. No doubts that privileged information can make you rich faster, but securing those information doesn't come easy.

Here is a story of someone who is trying to make her first million dollar in cryptocurrency from a start of $1000.

𝟐𝟎𝟏𝟕: 𝟏𝐤 𝐭𝐨 𝟒𝟖𝟎𝐤

Got to know crypto in late 2016 but the first investment was only made in early 2017.

It would be a lie calling myself an expert in my first year of crypto.

Yet a lucky time of entry and hours behind my pc in college did multiply my capital considerably for this noob.

𝟐𝟎𝟏𝟖: 𝟒𝟖𝟎𝐤 𝐭𝐨 𝟑𝟎𝐤

My first bear market and 0 clue what to expect. Up-only right?

Initially I had little reason to take profit but because I was searching for an apartment and a car I withdrew $120k.

So yes I took profit but not because of skill, because of luck of the circumstances

The other remaining $300k? Dropped all the way to 30k

𝟐𝟎𝟏𝟗: 𝟑𝟎𝐤-𝟓𝟎𝐤

2019 was still a slow year but we did finally see Bitcoin bottom out.

Gathered my most best positions I thought would do well for 2020.

Wit a little bit of a rebound I had 50k again and ready for the bull run!

𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟎: 𝟎𝐤

The bull market started in the summer of 2020 and I was fully ready!

Yet in May 2020 disaster struck!

Right before the bull run my oldest brother got caught for dealing drugs and they investigated the whole family.

Everything I earned was legal but the $120k from years earlier was suspicious as a college student.

Result? They took everything away out of investigation.

My bank account? Empty

My 50k crypto online? They also sold.

I was naive and my lawyer said to cooperate if I didn't have anything to hide.

For the second half of 2020 I couldn't participate in the bull run because you need money.

I missed phase 1.

𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟏: 𝟏𝐤-𝟗𝟎𝐤

I finally gathered 1k again and restarted in the middle of this bull run.

With a bit of luck and knowledge from before I managed to collect $95k again.

2 good presales had a lot to do with this.

𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟐: 𝟗𝟓𝐤 𝐭𝐨 𝟑𝟓𝐤

Since I had an empty bank account I withdrew 40k in total.

The remaining 55k dropped to 35k in the bear market.

I didn't sell the top but I did sell to stables to keep most of what I still had.

𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑: 𝟑𝟓𝐤 𝐭𝐨 𝟐𝟎𝟎𝐤

The year of the comeback!

Started the year of strong with Arbitrum season.

Managed to grow my portfolio quite a bit.

But the real gainer? The last few months of 2023.

Since last September the market saw a very strong revival in anticipating of the spot ETF.

Manage to kill it and take advantage of it a lot.

Secured 200k again although I did withdraw 50k of this total amount.

So my portfolio actually is around 150k at this point due to profit taking and not 200k anymore.

𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒: ?

The road to a million dollars?

Possibly, although I'm doing my very best for it.

Applying what I've learned all these years and trying to take part in dozens of idos (presales) I'm hoping to be well positioned.

Along with strong spot holdings I hope this might be the year I make it.

~

The road to riches isn't always easy and life has a funny way of making things easy or harder for some.

I did the calculation from my earlier holdings I had on 2020 with my 50k portfolio.

In 2021 (my second bull market) I actually should have reached millionaire status.

But I didn't since it was taken away the year before.

To this day I still haven't gotten anything back at all.

3.5 years and they still have both the capital from my bank account and the capital from the crypto they sold.

Unfair? Yes

Should we quit? No

Starting back from square 1 was brutal but we have to if we want another shot at making it.

Hopefully this year will set me free.

~

I know I haven't been the only one struggling.

I know each and every single one of you also has their inner demons or struggles with life somewhere.

This was just to let you know the road to riches isn't suppose to be easy.

But we keep going because if we don't, nothing changes at all.

You'll get there if you just keep trying.

Hope you enjoyed the read and picked a point or two from the story.
