Why 3 Month Goals >>> Yearly Goals
April is officially here. 🗓
Which means its time to recharge, recalibrate and get the month started on the right foot. Â
It’s easy to get frustrated early when you’re trying to make progress on any long-term goal no matter how confident you feel when you get started.. Â
When I first started setting goals, I was focusing on what I wanted to achieve by the end of the year. Â
Although I still think it’s very important to set yearly goals and take some time to think about what you want to achieve... Â
I quickly realized, I set goals for myself that were too big… Â
I was making progress towards them, but when I didn't hit them I was getting discouraged and wasn't allowing myself to gain momentum. 🚀 Â
They were great goals, and they were definitely achievable.  But they weren’t actionable…  And as a result, I ended up not achieving many of my goals.
I got frustrated about the fact that I wanted to change my goals so many times. Â
So here’s what I now do instead:
✅I Set 3-month goals that are actionable Before I did this I felt anxious and overwhelmed by my goals.
But having shorter-term goals means that you’ll be checking in with each key area in your life more often (health, relationships, money, career, personal development, etc).
This allows you to evaluate where you’re at in each area every month and decide what to focus on next.
We live in a time of constant information OVERLOAD. 🤯
Which is why you need to simplify to create CLARITY in your life. 😎 Â
Â
It’s all about simplifying the process... Â
Â
In order to make progress on your goals and achieve success with them you need to:
✅Have a clear daily action plan
✅ Execute on that plan consistency Â
Without a clear daily action plan, you will quickly find yourself bouncing around and lost.
When you break down your goals into a clear daily action plan that you can execute on each and every day, at the end or the start of a new month, you can sit down and reflect on your progress much more clearly.
When you are trying to make progress on 15 different things, when you go reflect on your progress, it is almost impossible to identify what caused you to fall off because you’re pulling too many levers…
Don’t just focus on the outcome, but on the process itself.
Setting medium-term goals will force you to put daily habits into place.
With April officially starting today, now is a great time to recalibrate and prepare yourself for a big month ahead. Â
✅ Reflect on where you're at and what you're doing
✅ Get clear on where you want to be
✅ Simplify things and remove any distractions in your life that are pulling you away from your goals
✅ Set actionable goals and focus on things you know will move you in the right direction Â
