Despite the pressure on digital gold mining profitability, some industry participants such as KULR Technology and Tether are expanding their mining capacities.
Others, like Bit Digital and BIT Mining, are shifting focus from Bitcoin to accumulation and staking of altcoins — Ethereum and Solana, respectively.
It is worth noting that AI infrastructure provider CoreWeave suggested that after acquiring one of the largest public miners, Core Scientific, for $9 billion, it may completely exit this business.
