Once a President leaves office people usually continue to refer to them as President. For example, People still refer to Carter as “President Carter”. Even with all the controversy surrounding Nixon they still refer to him as "President Nixon". So why is it that people continually call President Trump “Former President Trump”? Why are they adding the word former?

I have a couple of theories as to why:

1.  Most politicians (including many Republicans), the MSM, big tech, and others are so desperate to undermine and undo everything President Trump has done that they want to do anything they can to demean him.

2.  They know he was legitimately elected as our President for the next four years and they don’t want to admit it. Another argument for this scenario is that during the second impeachment hearing vote it was stated, “… and remove from office.” How do you remove someone from office if they are already gone? Sounds like an admission that he IS STILL our President to me!

Therefore, either the impeachment was unconstitutional or Trump is still our President (or both). They are trying very hard to convince the world that he is not President, so they call him the “former president”.

(Just to be clear, both impeachments were unconstitutional and were an attack on the 14th amendment of our Constitution.)
