This article will be short. I want to talk about the differences between the left and the right. The left (or liberals, mostly Democrats and some Independents) vs the right (Conservatives, who are mostly Independents or Republicans).
There are many differences between the two groups, but I think this pretty much sums it up…
What the right wants…
You can do anything (or think anything) you want as long as your actions don't hurt someone else. Whether we agree or not, if it doesn’t hurt anyone else then it’s none of our business. But under no circumstances are we okay with others forcing their ideologies on us and especially on our children.
Side note: Theft and vandalism hurts others, therefore it is not okay.
What the left wants…
You must think and do what they say. And that may change from day to day, so deal with it.
No matter what side you are on, we are all people living in this world and need to let others be who they are. Have conversations to understand each other, but in the end, understand not everyone will agree.
There is a beautiful thing that happens when people of different camps can come together and allow one another to voice their opinions without fear. We grow, we learn, we can come up with better solutions and more inclusive ideas. Taking the time to understand each other and boil down our positions to the "real" issues is a very valuable tool.
