A senator is pointing the finger at "billionaire crypto bros" for hindering and delaying crypto legislation. And how are they doing this you might ask? A very good question, it is by paying millions in lobbying money to... Senators and House of Representatives Members.
The pot calling the kettle black
I have 0 tolerance for people that are elected to govern, that complain that people are using the very system they are a part of. To me, it sounds like senator Brad Sherman is trying to collect some brownie points by jumping on the bandwagon in the wake of the FTX crash. Pointing his fingers and saying "bad crypto, bad crypto".
But the only thing he accomplishes by that is making himself look like a completely clueless and unfit politician. The worst possible kind. And why am I saying that? Let us look at it. The good Brad Sherman has in a public statement said the following:
To date, efforts by billionaire crypto bros to deter meaningful legislation by flooding Washington with millions of dollars in campaign contributions and lobbying spending have been effective.
To me either he is completely unaware that this type of lobbying is going on in the US. Or he is angry that he has not gotten a share of the money. Or he is actually upset that the lobbyist is basically "bribing" politicians to do their bidding. Be this the gun-, tobacco-, oil-, pharma-, or crypto lobby. Why then single out "billionaire crypto bros" as some sort of nefarious actor?
Brad Sherman has an anti-crypto stance aka heavy regulation. So this might be a possibility. Or He might simply be trying to curry favor with other anti-crypto politicians in Washington. By the looks, everyone is gunning for crypto. Be it environmentalists, the president, or anyone in between.

Rep. House of Representatives Member Brad Sherman
Either way, I think it is utter nonsense to have a politician complain that some people are using the very same system that the rich and the corporations have been using for decades. Are "crypto bros" not good enough or fit enough to be able to lobby politicians the same as the oil companies have done? Where was he then? All I have to say is Brad Sherman shut the f*ck up and do your job properly instead of making yourself look dumber than you hopefully are. If you want to point fingers at someone start pointing at your greedy and corrupt friends in the senet.
I hope that you can overlook my bad language. and foul mood. I just find it so frustrating when I encounter people like this. If he doesn't like the lobbying in Washington, he can literally do something about it. It is in his job description. What is your opinion of the good Brad Sherman, do you agree with him? Please sound off in the comment section down below.
If you did please consider following me, or reading my other posts or why not do both?
