Today I want to dive with you into the world of NFT's. First of all NFT's are one of a kind tokens on a blockchain - Non Fungible Tokens. Most NFT's projects are on the Ethereum blockchain as ERC-721 tokens. If projects are hyped and ready to be minted, bid-wars often occur, leading to crazy gas prices. Those skyrocketing fees are too high for casual crypto investors - sometimes the fees are into the thousands of dollars just to make sure your transaction goes thru.. That's why I see the future of NFT's and especially gaming-NFT's on Solana. Fees and transaction speed is way better than Ethereum in it's current state. You only pay $0.00025 per transaction and the transaction speed is about 0.4s. Besides Solana is capable of 50000 transactions per second!
SolanaMees / SolMees
SolMees are 20,000 3D voxel characters, where each one can be minted as an NFT on the Solana Blockchain. When minting a SolMee, you are also registered on the blockchain as its creator, making you eligible to receive fees for any future trades of that NFT. If you're a owner of a SolMee you can make a pfp (profile picture) on the website if you connect your wallet to it. Besides you can download your NFT as 3D voxel avatar as .glb file. With this type of file you can use your SolMee in AR / VR with your mobile phone or animate it with some extra software like Adobe Aero.

Lately great announcements were made on the discord about the future of SolMees and some usecases. I will summarize the best announcements, in my eyes, for you here but if you want to have a closer look feel free to read the announcements channel!

SolanaMees partnered up with RumbleWorlds! Rumbleworlds will be a P2E platform with several well known party-minigame styled games on Solana. And now a few highlights included in our partnership:

- Collab on in-game used SolMee themed accessories/gear/cosmetics
- Build a guild with a hierarchy within Rumble Worlds
- Special Allocation before Public Sale of $RUMB (Rumble Coin) for SolMee Holders More details about SolMees in Rumble Worlds will be revealed as the development moves forward.
This is great news for the ecosystem, not only because there is a nice usecase but communities come together here. There are several other NFT projects playable in Rumbleworlds like Soliens and Boneworld!

Personal Opinion
With the upcoming end of mint and P2E game I see a bright future for this types of NFT's in general. They have actual usescases and people learn stuff with them. I learned to animate 3D characters and some AR stuff. Most of the NFT projects out there are just JPEG's with nothing more to do. You can use them as PFP, nice.. Of course, this isn't bad at all, but I want to explore the whole potential of NFT's.
