But that doesn‘t mean the industry is dead. It just means you need more than basic skills. You need problem-solving, curiosity, and the ability to learn on your own.

AI Is Not Replacing Developers — It‘s Changing the Job

I get it — ChatGPT is scary. I was scared too.

But here‘s what I‘ve learned: AI is a tool, not a replacement. It helps me write boilerplate code. It helps me debug. But it doesn‘t understand context, business logic, or system design.

The developers who will struggle are not the ones who learn AI — the ones who don‘t.

Junior Roles Are Harder to Find — But Not Impossible

Yes, it‘s harder to get a junior job than it was 5 years ago. The bar is higher.

But companies still need developers. They still hire juniors. They just want juniors who have built something — not just finished courses.

Projects matter more than certificates.

What‘s Actually Important Now

If you‘re starting today, here‘s what matters:

• Building real projects (not just following tutorials)
• Understanding fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, system design)
• Learning how to learn (this is the real skill)

It‘s not about knowing 10 languages. It‘s about knowing one well and understanding how things work under the hood.

Who Should NOT Go Into IT Right Now

I don‘t want to be the person who tells everyone 'just learn to code!'

If you hate problem-solving, if you get frustrated easily, if you don‘t enjoy learning new things — IT might not be for you.

That‘s okay. Not everyone has to work in tech.

Who Should Go Into IT

If you‘re curious. If you like solving puzzles. If you don‘t mind being confused for a few months — you‘ll be fine.

IT is still a great field. The salaries are still good. The flexibility is still there.

It‘s just harder. But if you‘re willing to work for it, it‘s still worth it.
