Long day. The big mess caused by the Covid19 coronavirus in our hospital is starting to resolve. Our operating rooms are slowly returning to normal. Until a week ago, only emergencies were guaranteed. From now, however, we can return to operate even the least critical patients. We started at 8 in the morning with a radical prostatectomy, although unfortunately we did not complete it. Once the operation started, we realized that the tumor was much larger than we had imagined and from what could be understood by CT. Unfortunately, the patient will undergo radiation therapy and hormone therapy, hoping to obtain good results. It is the first time in my life that I participate in a surgery that is interrupted and not completed. It is quite depressing, and I feel very sorry for the patient. He is a young funny lad, I hope for the best!
