Being raised by the generation that lived through, and participated in the second world war, I have and will likely continue to speak on how I was very hard to offend.
The ability to be offended, as well as the ability to offend, was almost a rite or a right of passage for my generation, or so I once thought. I did not even have to think about it. Now we have to think about everything.
What we say, how we say it. Is it racist, or sexist? Is what I said then, going to used against me now, or in the future? Is it offensive to some whiny, unhappy, unfulfilled, angry adult that is really not much more than a victim of their own circumstances? That because they were victimized, they, in turn, must victimize? Making not only them but the others around them even more miserable. That being a victim gives you some special privilege to victimize others, as opposed to not allowing or accepting it as truth in the first place.
If there is anything that is offensive, then these things are.
Chest instead of breast. Strangers raising and teaching our kids as normal. Natural is not natural. Lies are more valuable than the truth like there is nothing left to learn and or do. That we were meant only to be mediocre at best. That somehow removing Aunt Jemima because she is black made us better, and the acceptance of her on almost every breakfast table in at least America was somehow bad and racist...Really? That we as women should accept being beaten by men dressed up as women in sports or any place really. It's even worse that these "woke women" are ok with them removing their outdoor plumbing altogether...Like we need more chicks in the world, with men's size strength no less.
All this is not much more than virtue signaling of the apparent woke, when in reality it is the ending of all great things. I guess it could lead to greater things, even much greater things, only in leaving these things behind though. Which sucks, because these things were so unnecessary to begin with.
I used to think being a woman was a good thing, now that is more offensive as offending goes.
I am fine with being a female if this is the direction (see article female vs woman ), at least I know I am human... Which at this point is questionable in others.
