Quick Overview

  • Main Role: Top lane (can also be played Mid or as a poke Support)

  • Type: Marksman / AP Mage

  • Playstyle: Harassment, poke, vision control, damage over time


🌀 Passive – Guerrilla Warfare

  • When Teemo stands still for a short time, he becomes invisible (camouflaged).

  • When leaving invisibility, Teemo gains bonus attack speed for 5 seconds.

  • Use: Ambush enemies, hide in brushes, surprise duels.

👉 Strength: Can act as a “human trap.”
👉 Weakness: Useless if revealed (control wards, Oracle Lens, AoE).


⚔️ Abilities

Q – Blinding Dart

  • Fires a dart dealing magic damage and blinds the target (their auto-attacks miss).
    👉 Extremely strong against ADCs and auto-attack bruisers.
    👉 Weak against mages and tanks who don’t rely on autos.


W – Move Quick

  • Grants a movement speed boost (passive bonus + active burst).
    👉 Helps kite, chase, or escape.
    👉 One of the reasons Teemo is so slippery.


E – Toxic Shot (Passive)

  • Auto-attacks apply poison damage over time (DoT).
    👉 Core source of poke and sustained damage.
    👉 Makes every Teemo auto-attack annoying to deal with.


R – Noxious Trap (Mushroom)

  • Places an invisible mushroom trap that:

    • Explodes on contact, dealing massive magic DoT

    • Slows enemies caught in the explosion.

  • Can be placed in brushes, jungle paths, or objectives.
    👉 Main tool for zone control and vision denial.


⏳ Game Phases

🔹 Early Game (Laning Phase)

  • Strengths:

    • Harasses constantly with AA + poison (E).

    • Blind (Q) is very effective vs auto-attack champions (Yasuo, Jax, Tryndamere).

    • Hard to gank thanks to speed (W) + camouflage (Passive).

  • Weaknesses:

    • Extremely squishy, no real sustain.

    • Can be punished by hard-engage champs (Renekton, Irelia).

    • Vulnerable to CC-heavy junglers (Jarvan, Zac).


🔹 Mid Game

  • Strengths:

    • Mushrooms become deadly zoning tools.

    • Great splitpush pressure.

    • Strong in small skirmishes.

  • Weaknesses:

    • Still very squishy.

    • Relies on proper shroom placement.


🔹 Late Game

  • Strengths:

    • Mushrooms are basically mini ultimates (huge damage + AoE slow).

    • Can defend base almost solo with traps.

  • Weaknesses:

    • Dies instantly if caught (by assassins or tanks).

    • Not a true teamfight powerhouse—better at poke/zoning.


✅ Strengths

  • Constant lane harassment.

  • Extremely frustrating to play against.

  • Great map control with mushrooms.

  • Strong 1v1 against auto-attack-based champs.

  • Can carry games if he snowballs.

❌ Weaknesses

  • Super squishy, easy to kill if caught.

  • No hard CC.

  • Entirely reliant on trap positioning.

  • Becomes much weaker if the enemy buys Control Wards + Oracle Lens.

  • Falls off compared to true late-game carries.


🎯 Tips for Playing Teemo

  • Abuse E + auto poke in lane.

  • Place mushrooms in high-traffic areas (jungle paths, objectives, base entrances).

  • Play splitpush—force enemies to chase you.

  • Always have an escape route (W speed + Passive camouflage).

  • Build flexibly:

    • Full AP burst → mushrooms one-shot enemies.

    • On-hit (Nashor’s, Riftmaker) → constant DPS in duels.
