Evening folks, I've been slacking in my writing efforts mainly because I'm just fat and lazy, but tonight I am finally making an effort to put in the hard graft and to get writing!

Tonight I bring to you a new coin that I picked up today after a little spontaneous drop in to my new favourite antique centre.

I actually forgot I already had one of these, I found out when I got home and added this to the stack 😅

I present to you a 1920 one florin coin that is in a much better condition than the last one I bought.

The obverse of the coin: The portrait of the uncrowned King George V
The reverse of the coin: Crowned cruciform shields around a central Garter star, sceptres at angles, the denomination is above, the date is divided below
Year: 1920
Value: 1 Florin
Currency: Pound sterling
Silver: .500
Weight: 11.31 grams
Diameter: 28.50mm
Thickness: 1.95mm

Due to its nice condition, I am considering trying to polish this coin up and see if I can make it look nice and pretty.
I have no idea if it will actually work, but the coin cost me £5.00, which works out a little over spot, but it's not bad value at all considering its age and condition.

If it polishes up nicely, then it's a win for sure. I'll do a post on the results when I finally get round to trying it out.
