Tonight's rather exciting silver piece is The 1 oz Lunar Year Of The Snake Coin.
This one is from the Royal Canadian Mint, the fourth coin in their 12 year Lunar series. This began with the Lunar Year of the Tiger coin back in 2022.

I play a lot of Yu-Gi-Oh and the design of this coin reminds me of some of the snakes within Yu-Gi-Oh which is pretty cool and really caught my eye.

Reverse of the coin: Good ol King Charles III
Year: 2025
Value: 15 Dollars
Currency:Dollars
Silver: .999
Weight: 31.39 grams
Diameter: 38mm

A great member of the SGS community likes to refer to King Charles as Chuck so from now on this is what he's going to be called. Hopefully will save me ranting about his stupid ass portrait that ruins all of these new coins.

Now this is an amazing looking coin. A lot less cartoony and a more decorative snake design. This one looks really good and seems to have had a lot more design time put into it than the silver version.

Even ol Chuck looks better. He looks way more alive on the gold coins and less of a walking corpse look.

Of course the price difference is huge as would be expected, though I am leaning more towards the look of the gold coin for a change over the silver.

The Precious Metal Stacking Journey

Time to document the Journey that I started in March 2024. Precious metals is the goal at the end of the day. I Planned to start with silver, and if I do well move into gold.
