I Found A New Place To Buy My Silver

Good evening all, today marks a pretty good day for my precious metals journey.
I found a new shop to get my silver from 😁

This place is a little one tucked away that I found while driving past last week. I've just not had the time to visit until today. It was a bank holiday in the UK today, so I had the day off, which just made sense to take a wander down and check it out.

So off me and my son went to have a little lookie at what goodies they had in store.

When we got there my son saw a giant treasure chest that he was rather excited to have a look at. He is 2 years old, and him shouting out 'Treasureeeeee' made the store laugh. He absolutely loved it, and now he calls it the treasure shop.

My missus has been after a globe for our living room for a very long time now, and lo and behold, there was one in the store!

So, of course, we had to get this for her, which meant I could treat myself too 😁

The obverse of the coin: The uncrowned portrait of King Edward VII
The reverse of the coin: Crowned denomination dividing the date within an oak wreath
Year: 1907
Value: 3 pence
Currency: Pound sterling
Silver: .925
Weight: 1.41 grams
Diameter: 16mm

Here we have a 1907 3 pence coin with .925 silver content. It was priced up at £4.00, which is a bit steep considering the weight/silver amount. But it had 20% off, which I didn't realize until I got to the till.
Still £3.20 for this is high, but it's a pretty nice looking coin, so I thought, what the heck.
The missus had banned me from buying anything today, so I didn't want to push my luck and buy a 1oz coin 😅

Overall, it looks to be in pretty good condition considering its age. It is rather small but I liked it, so it's now joined the silver stack.

Here's a couple of the cabinets, sadly not all of that is silver, but there were still some pretty cool looking bits in there.

I'm planning another visit soon when I can afford some more bits, hoping to go again later this week 🙃

The Precious Metal Stacking Journey

Time to document the Journey that I started in March 2024. Precious metals is the goal at the end of the day. I Planned to start with silver, and if I do well move into gold.
