Today we have a Canadian 50 cents coin from 1964.

These coins were issued from 1959-1964 in Canada. They feature the Royal Arms of Canada which King George V proclaimed in 1921. This was later updated in 1957 to what it is on the coin.
With 0.800 Silver content along with .200 copper mixed in it is a nice coin to add to my collection for the silver content.
This is another coin that I pick up from the Hive Bullion Exchange for the sole reason that I had some extra HBD to spend.
Minted by the Royal Canadian Mint of Ottawa which are still producing quality coins to this day. They started in 1908 which is an impressive feat in my eyes. They do produce some really lovely coins which I am still waiting for The Royal Mint in the UK to at least try and make some pretty stuff for us. I won't hold my breath on that one though.
Reverse of the coin: Queen Elizabeth II at 27 years of age
Year: 1964
Value: 50 Cents
Currency: Dollars
Silver: 0.800
Weight: 11.663g
Diameter: 29.72mm
Thickness: 2.04mm

After looking on Numista I found out that the Latin on the reverse of the coin means Elizabeth II Queen by the grace of God. That's pretty cool sounding.
Does look better in Latin though: ELIZABETH II DEI GRATIA REGINA
Overall I am very pleased with this purchase and happy with the quality that it adds to my collection.
