The advent of the internet has revolutionized the concept of money making; gone are the days when revenue can only be generated by conventional means of hard work and labour. Much similar to the concept of physical properties, digital assets represent a profitable source of passive income that is as appealing as it is lucrative, given the simplicity and ease with which it can be leveraged to generate a stream of passive income. Content creation is one such example — however, it is not without entailing a certain degree of effort and time. A simpler and often overlooked means of monetization of digital asset is simply in the palm of your hands — your internet bandwidth itself! Welcome to the age of internet monetization, which I was happy to embrace recently, and which has since then generated an effortless source of passive income for me, leveraging the assets that I already have - without requiring any capital!

My Results

I avail a variety of such internet sharing apps to passively generate a stream of passive income in the form of cryptocurrency (like Bitcoin and JMPT) and PayPal. With regards to data privacy, I have not encountered any issues so far. However, suffice to say that not all such platforms are made equal! Earnings do vary considerably — read on to find out which are the ones worth spending your time on! (Arranged in descending order of profitability)

#1 Honeygain

My absolute favourite on this list, Honeygain never fails to deliver consistently! Launched in 2019 as a crowdsourced residential proxy network, Honeygain has been quick to earn for itself a reputable position as one of the best passive income applications out there. With generous earning opportunities ranging from internet monetization and content delivery to daily lucky draws (‘Lucky Pot’) and frequent contest opportunities, it is little wonder that Honeygain has garnered such a wide user base!

The bulk of my earnings come from Honeygain — I have earned a total of 1585,395 Honeygain credits so far, which equate to $1585! I have chosen to earn in JMPT — the native token of the JumpTask network, a micro-tasking Web3 platform; as this payout option confers me a 10% bonus in earnings. An alternative payout option is via PayPal, with a requirement of having to cash out at least $20. As such, JMPT presents a more flexible payout option for the cryptocurrency-initiated user.

#2 Peer2Profit

Peer2Profit used to be one of my most profitable internet sharing applications until recently when its functionality was curtailed. It is operational via its Telegram bot, and still paying up to the date of writing. I have earned a total of $300 from Peer2Profit so far; however the downsized interface does make navigating the platform slightly less intuitive recently.

#3 EarnApp

EarnApp is also a similar internet sharing platform that pays wellvia PayPal. My total earnings so far from EarnApp amount to $66.

The following internet sharing platforms were less profitable, earning me negligible sums of money despite being given the same amount of internet uptime as the above 3 applications.

How I Spend My Earnings

Being a blockchain enthusiast, I reinvest my earnings mainly into cryptocurrencies, most notably BNB (Binance Coin).

But why BNB, you ask?

• Ease of trading with high liqudity and low fees on Pancakeswap
• Potential for gains in a bull market, as the native currency of Binance’s own blockchain, the Binance chain.
• Ability to partake in ‘airdrops’: Binance has been actively organizing Launchpad/ Launchpools, which are crowdfunding methods that help startups raise funds and gain exposure to investors. In other words, holding and committing BNB to these pools confer the benefit of gaining free tokens as they are launched! MATIC, for example, was one such fine example of a successful token launch supported by Binance back in 2019! I have revelled in the joy of receiving free airdrops of newly launched tokens such as ALT, MANTA, XAI, AI, NFP, among many others; simply by committing the BNB that I have earned from my earnings into these projects!

The portion of my earnings cashed out to PayPal is used to pay for my Medium subscription, which opens up a rabbit hole to an endless world of creative thoughts out there, of which cryptocurrency related contents abound!

Final Thoughts

Internet monetization is undoubtably not a quick way to earn a large sum of money; however, given that it requires nil to minimal effort, with no starting capital, it presents itself as an appealing avenue of passive income generation, utilizing pre-existing resources at no extra costs!
