Is investing in Bitcoin still a wise decision? Depending on the person asking the question, there are different short answers to it. Due to its unstable pricing and unregulated market, bitcoin is not a recommended choice for novice investors. On the other hand, some people think that Bitcoin has the potential to be a decentralised currency and a solid long-term investment because of its potential as a store of value. 

while there is still a frenzy about it, many informed bodies would still advocate and strongly support investing in crypto... and not just bitcoin either. When you're just starting out in the world of cryptocurrencies, it can be overwhelming because there are dozens of different cryptocurrencies, from Dogecoin and Tether to Bitcoin and Ethereum. 

Within fifteen years, cryptocurrencies went from being unknown to a significant player in the financial markets. However, excessive volatility is one thing that the industry's progress hasn't managed to abolish.

When the cryptocurrency market peaked in November 2021, its value exceeded $2.9 trillion. By mid-2022, the market's total value had dropped to less than $900 billion due to a combination of growing inflation and the Federal Reserve's aggressive rate-hiking cycle. By July 30 of this year, the total value of cryptocurrencies was $2.4 trillion.

It's simple to fall into the trap of believing that the only reliable, secure investment options available to novice cryptocurrency investors are bitcoin and ether, the native cryptocurrency of Ethereum. And while you may have a lot of maximalists on your side, altcoins, or alternative cryptocurrencies, are undoubtedly becoming more and more popular. 

The rush is still ongoing and there seems to be a lot of money to be made.
