As I've mentioned in previous articles, due to my lack of interest in bitcoin back in 2013, I am now kicking myself. Hard. So when the chance for essentially "free crypto" comes up, there's no way I'm going to miss it! Enter our new competitor - the Pi Network.
As those involved in the crypto community, I'm sure you've heard of or are even a part of the Pi network. Pi is a cryptocurrency that, unlike BTC or ETH, is mined solely from mobile phones. There have been many attempts at creating something like this before, but all have failed. Pi doesn't work on proof of work, but on network security. The more people (actual people, not fake accounts) you introduce to the network, the more you are rewarded. Through a daily verification, you activate your mining of Pi. Keep in mind though, multiple accounts won't work. The KYC aspect of Pi is quite heavily focused, and to withdraw your Pi at a later stage, you will only be able to do it after KYC verification.
So what's it worth? Well at this point - nothing. Yes, I know. Another "useless shitcoin" I can hear you mutter. But in actuality, the Pi network currently has over 8 MILLION engaged users. That's almost a quarter of all bitcoin wallets in existence currently. For a project only a year or two old, I'd say that's a pretty great step towards adoption for crypto. To be fair, many users sign up with the expectation that it's "free money", which it may very well be, but at this point, the currency is not listed on any exchange. Thus, there is no market value attached to it. However, there are plans to have it listed in the near future.
Once it does list, any Pi you have essentially becomes free money (like that UNI drop that broke the Ethereum network this week). The app is free to use and incredibly easy to set up, so what are you waiting for?

I am sending 1 Pi to everyone who uses this link to try the platform! At this point, the mining algorithm is close to being halved, so join while you can to take full advantage of the system while it's still going.
