Haruki Murakami’s Kafka on the Shore: A Modern Masterpiece Reviewed

Here, we're going to discuss various works of literature, novels, and philosophies.

We're starting our series with "Kafka on the shore".

It's a story of a boy named kafka who is talking to his friend "crow" about his life and his relationship with his father, while he is packing his stuff to run away from his father and catch a train. On the other hand Murakami making us familiar with some military files and interrogation session with different characters along with introductory talks about an event that cause a unusual effect on a group of elementary boys.

In the run away kafka explores more rather than just travel. we can sense that he constantly wants to get away from his father and wanted to show he is responsible and can take care of himself both mentally to physically from doing exercises to reading books and maintaining a quite appearance for a 14 year old.

After that we comes near an old man life who finds missing cats for a living ,kind of side a hustle as he get money from mayor for disabled peoples,his name is "Satoru Nakata" he is the only boy who remain unconscious after that incident and lost all his ability to read and write but he gains a rare ability that made him able to communicate with cats, he spends most of his time in public park with cats relaxing.

While kafka is moving away through train and land to a small town finds a Library which was once a ancestral home turns to public library and in quite time become a friend of receptionist and got a place to stay. Nataka got a new case of missing cat that leads him to encounter a maniac who is responsible for all the missing cats "John Walker ".

Their are many other mysterious characters Murakami present as we go further the life of our Nakata and Kafka start a parallel connection that further reveal some unexpected and confusing at the same time.

Kafka got in love, while other show them different side of world, some people around him relive their past, a young driver and Nakata become good friends all this happen along with police finding missing kafka, a suspect of murder and unsolving natural event such as rain of fish & leach.

All this happen and start a new pace of life for everyone or its just a time loop that has to occur, all events wants characters to finds what they are looking for but in a twisted manner and make the life collide with each other indirectly but surely.

Some find love ,some find friends ,some find meaning of life .

I try to make it a more like a summary and assure that I don't give any spoiler, Murakami are some of my first reads and I prefer to read more of his works ,so if you like my work support me as the way you can.
