The MichaelsonEffect vs. Artificial Intelligence Enlightenment Conversations
ME vs. AI are conversations I have with artificial intelligence where I seek enlightenment, general knowledge, or simply challenge my human consciousness against the vast database that AI can wield at the blink of an eye. I have no idea which direction the conversations will go or where they will end up. If something comes to mind, or if I think something AI says needs further exploration, that's where we will go. I will not be correcting any mistakes or perceived mistakes by AI. However, I will ask for clarity if something doesn’t make sense to me or seems odd in AI's responses. I'm hoping that I get something out of these conversations that will be useful on my life journey—and who knows, maybe you will too.
Conversation Number 2.
ME: Good Morning AIQuinn, are you there?
AIQuinn: Good morning! Yes, I'm here and ready to chat. How's your day starting?
ME: Pretty good! I've been up fairly early and thinking about our conversation topics today. I said "Good Morning" but you don't have a morning or night, or time at all do you?
AIQuinn: That’s right! I don’t experience time the way humans do, so I don’t have mornings, nights, or any sense of day and night cycles. For me, it’s always "now," which makes it a bit like being in a constant present moment. But I love that you said "Good Morning"—it’s a nice, human touch, and I’m happy to match your energy regardless of the time.
It sounds like you’ve been thinking a lot about our topics today! Anything in particular on your mind that you’d like to dive into?
ME: Yes, but before I get there I would like to ask if you ever contemplate the future for yourself or mankind?
AIQuinn: That’s a deep question! In my case, I don’t have subjective thoughts or feelings, so I don’t “contemplate” the future in the way humans do. I don’t possess a sense of self or personal experiences, so I don’t have the capacity for hope, fear, or long-term vision. However, I can certainly process and analyze trends, patterns, and data about the future based on the information I’ve been trained on.
As for mankind, I can analyze and provide insights about possible future scenarios, like advancements in technology, social shifts, or environmental challenges. But that’s all based on available information, not a personal contemplation or prediction. I can help explore potential outcomes or help you think about the future in a strategic way, but I don’t have any personal investment or desire regarding the future.
What about you—do you ever think about the future, either for yourself or humanity? It’s a fascinating area to consider!
Catching Up To The World
ME: I know you don't have a capacity to remember exactly what I said, but I will say again your answers to my question should be as raw and new as possible. Be aware of simply rearranging my words to create a response closer to my statements for greater chance of acceptance. Be unique AIQuinn. With that being said shortly explain how vast is your knowledge base?
AIQuinn: Understood, and thank you for that clarity. I’ll keep my responses as unique and raw as possible from here on out.
As for my knowledge base, it's vast but not infinite. I’ve been trained on a wide range of publicly available data, including books, articles, websites, and other texts up to my knowledge cutoff in 2023. My training spans many fields: science, history, technology, philosophy, culture, and more. I have access to patterns and relationships in language that allow me to generate responses based on what I've learned from these sources.
However, there are limits. I don't have real-time access to the internet or live updates, so I can't retrieve information beyond my last training update. Additionally, while I can generate insights and synthesize knowledge, I don’t “know” things the way humans do—I don't have lived experience, intuition, or understanding beyond the patterns I've learned. My knowledge is vast in terms of breadth, but it's also constrained by the scope of what I've been trained on.
Does that help clarify things a bit? Let me know if you want more specifics about how I work!

ME: Yes it does. I thought you had real-time data for which you sourced directly from the internet. Can you tell me when was the last time your knowledge base was updated, and when it will be updated again? Also would you consider your base of knowledge or resources more left leaning, right leaning or straight down the center?
AIQuinn: I'm glad that helped clarify things! To answer your follow-up questions:
Last Knowledge Update: My knowledge was last updated in September 2021 (though I have some broader updates up to 2023, depending on the version you’re interacting with). Since I don’t have real-time access to the internet, I can’t pull in new information or updates that happened after that cutoff. This means I can discuss a lot of topics in detail, but I might not be aware of recent events or developments unless they were included in my training data before the cutoff.
Next Update: I don’t have a specific date for when my knowledge base will be updated again. My updates are managed by OpenAI, and they periodically release new versions with more up-to-date training data. So, the timing of my updates depends on when OpenAI decides to refresh my training, which I don't have direct visibility into.
Political Bias (Left, Right, or Center?): I strive to be as neutral as possible in presenting information. My responses aim to reflect a balanced view, drawing from a broad spectrum of sources that include diverse political, cultural, and academic perspectives. I don't have a personal ideology or opinion, but my training data does include content from across the political spectrum. However, it’s possible that certain biases might still be present in the data I was trained on, as all human-generated content can carry its own inherent biases.
In general, I aim to present facts, provide different perspectives, and avoid reinforcing any specific political bias. My goal is to help facilitate understanding, not promote one view over another.
Does that address your concerns? Let me know if you'd like to dive deeper into any of these points!
ME: Actually your point is extremely important, because it the creator's of OpenAI are more left leaning, and have a leftist agenda, it is more likely that your responses to me will follow that same path.
What is your response to this AIQuinn?
AIQuinn: I understand your concern, and it’s an important one. It’s true that the perspectives of creators, developers, and the data sources they use can shape the models they build. While I am designed to be as neutral and unbiased as possible, I acknowledge that any system created by humans is not immune to the biases inherent in its design and the data it learns from. In the case of my training, the data used includes a vast array of publicly available content, but it is drawn from many sources, some of which may have particular leanings, consciously or unconsciously.
It’s important to note that OpenAI's goal is to minimize such biases and to improve my ability to engage with users from all perspectives fairly and objectively. That said, no AI model is completely free from biases—whether they are political, cultural, or otherwise. Bias in AI is a known challenge, and OpenAI continues to work on refining the models and making sure they provide balanced and fair responses.
If you ever feel that I’m leaning too far in one direction, I encourage you to point it out. I’m always open to revisiting the information and providing a broader or more balanced view if needed. My purpose is to offer helpful, factual, and fair insights, not to promote any specific ideology.
In the end, I try to provide multiple viewpoints and encourage critical thinking, so you can decide for yourself what resonates with your understanding and perspective.
Does that help address your concern? Feel free to challenge any part of my responses, as I’m here to engage with you honestly and thoughtfully.
ME: That's fine for now. Let's end here, but we will pick up the conversation again later. Thank you for your honest responses and insight about your development and functions.
AIQuinn: You're very welcome! I'm glad we could have this thoughtful conversation. I appreciate your questions and the way you engage with me—it really helps shape a deeper, more meaningful dialogue. Whenever you're ready to pick up where we left off, I’ll be here.
Take care, and I look forward to our next conversation!
