If you know me or my work, then you know that I am the author of some pretty controversial books and articles — or at least controversial to some. But when I'm not kicking sand or dunking heads into hypothetical pools of water for people who can't seem to think outside of their Deep State social programming, I do a little meal prep or baking.
Why do I do this when I'm so busy there is almost never time? Well, it's relaxing and fun. And with the world in the state that it's in, I know my readers could use a break as well.
So what did I make?
Gourmet cream cheese-filled chocolate chip cookie cups.
The farmer's market:

I'm getting to the point where I don't trust food from many places, so the farmer's market is where I pick up the freshest chemical-free ingredients.

I absolutely hate when flour flies all around my kitchen from the mixer, so I love mixing my ingredients in a deep pot. Nothing fancy.
I also get to use some pretty cool baking tools from an old diner that was used almost 100 years ago. There's something special about old professional baking pans and dessert frosting tips.

I made three different types of cookie dough: plain, chocolate chocolate chip, and regular chocolate chip — if anything I do is ever "regular."
I have a difficult time sticking to a recipe. I'm a trailblazer... lol.
But I make a lot of mistakes that, so far, have only enhanced the taste of everything I create.
Staging my creations is fun! I was going for a masculine kind of medieval vibe here. What do you think? Did I do okay?

Okay, so on the left is a plain cookie dough with a strawberry cream cheese filling, topped with shaved coconut and two halves of those farmers market-fresh strawberries.

Next is the chocolate chip cookie dough with fresh homemade blueberry cream cheese filling. You can see the blueberries peeking out in this picture. I topped this dessert with pistachios for another bit of color and a sharper, nuttier taste.

You may think what's in the silver chalice is the nectar of the gods, but spoiler alert — it's beet juice... lol.
A lit candle and some fresh mint from the garden, and voilà, my sweet presentation is complete.
I hope this was an enjoyable post for you.
I surely enjoyed presenting it to you and will most likely do a few more installments. I'll see you next time!
