Today was a good day. I did a session of yoga after i wake up and i did some training for work after. That was my morning. I did a guitar lesson and i started to cook. While reading a book in the garden as boiling the veggies take more or less than 30 minutes. Day 3 of fast mimicking diet. Not so bad, but i cheated a bit with a sugary drink. And lots of veggies. After that i had my last training for this week, and it seems easy enough, as my stamina and endurance are probably increasing a bit with 4 trainings per week. I watched a bit of TV, I am watching now some interesting one The money heist aka La casa de papel. I had a half an hour nap to recover. I was around the house outside walking for 15 minutes, check the garage and played like 5 minutes of badminton before i got tired. Then i just relaxed, did my Spanish lessons, played few games of League of Legends and wrote a bit on my blogs. I started to monitor my time, and i am currently on day 3. After 5 days i will check what percentage each of my daily activity is.
And i have something special in mind for tomorrow, to celebrate Easter. A no-screens day (so no TV, computer or phone). We will see ho feasible this is.
Now on coronavirus, there are finally some interesting good news. And i refer at this article, which is now on many other websites. A team in the Netherlands will kick off the first of the trials this week. They will recruit 1000 health care workers in eight Dutch hospitals who will either receive the vaccine, called bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG), or a placebo. BCG contains a live, weakened strain of Mycobacterium bovis, a cousin of M. tuberculosis, the microbe that causes TB. (The vaccine is named after French microbiologists Albert Calmette and Camille Guérin, who developed it in the early 20th century.) The vaccine is given to children in their first year of life in most countries of the world, and is safe and cheap—but far from perfect: It prevents about 60% of TB cases in children on average, with large differences between countries. Vaccines generally raise immune responses specific to a targeted pathogen, such as antibodies that bind and neutralize one type of virus but not others. But for some unknown reasons, countries that are still doing it had approx. 6 times less severe cases than the countries who didn't. So, there is an explanation on how some countries reacted better and some worst, and it is not how fast they reacted, but the BCG vaccine, which apparently raise your immunity response efficiency against viruses by up to 30%. And i am indeed lucky, as i had it as a child.
At the moment we have 1,688,159 cases globally, with 477,492 closed cases (out if which 102,209 (21%) deaths). So we officially passed the 100.000 mark, sadly. In UK we got 73,758 cases and 8,958 deaths. In my town there are 158 confirmed cases.
