EURR Stablecoin:
Revolut began rolling out its euro‑pegged stablecoin EURR to eligible users in Denmark, Poland and Portugal, with broader EEA availability expected later in 2026.
EURR is issued by Bridge Building (Stripe‑owned), MiCA‑compliant, 1:1 redeemable for euros, and will integrate into Revolut’s retail app and support external wallets/multiple chains.

ECB board member Piero Cipollone says the Eurosystem cannot link individuals to digital euro transactions online or offline and that offline payments will be visible only to payer and payee.

Ethereum Quantum Upgrade:
Researchers proposed EIP‑8394 to rebuild the validator deposit contract so it can accept variable length keys and multiple signature schemes (BLS = tag 0, future post‑quantum = other tags).
The draft would allow a later, irreversible switch to stop new BLS deposits, protecting ~42.4M staked ETH (~$104B) from quantum attacks.
No specific post‑quantum algorithm is chosen yet, the proposal is still under review.
