Bitcoin pushed above $87K earlier this week, but has since pulled back toward $84K, leaving traders questioning whether this is just consolidation or the start of another move.
The fear comes from several things:
→ Recent pullback from the highs
→ Fed/rate uncertainty and higher Treasury yields
→ The failed CLARITY Act vote
→ Strong resistance around $85K–$86K
→ Traders still cautious despite strong ETF inflows
At the same time, there are reasons not to ignore the other side:
→ U.S. spot BTC ETFs attracted around $2.39B this week
→ BTC is still holding around $84K
→ Regulatory clarity is progressing through the SEC/CFTC
→ The market has already shown strong recovery momentum this month.
So the interesting question isn't simply bullish or bearish.
It's: when does fear turn back into FOMO? 👀
Because once liquidity returns and the crowd starts chasing again, the psychology can change very quickly.
Fear → Stabilization → FOMO
Let's see which phase comes next. 🫡

CFTC updates guidance on tokenized assets and blockchain records:
Registered crypto entities can now hold customer funds in tokenized form if rights are the same or functionally equivalent to the traditional asset, the CFTC “would not object” to blockchain‑based recordkeeping.
Chair Michael Selig framed it as providing regulatory clarity after the Senate’s failed CLARITY Act vote, with agencies expected to advance rules via rulemaking into 2027.
The CFTC has also sent a crypto market regulation plan for White House review, SEC Chair Paul Atkins said the agency is ready to propose crypto rules without new legislation.
