... and why you may ask?
Cause I am sick of trying to find out whether or not I can play the game already. I've joined like 3 Discords today for new games and guess how many of those told me anything useful? Right, NONE.
I understand that many upcoming entrepreneurs want to keep their potential players (and backers) hyped and that telling them "sorry, you can't play the game yet!" is not exactly the best message to do that. However, people getting invited to your discord only to check 371 different channels in the desperate attempt to find info on whether the game is playable or not is... frustrating at best.
Of course, I am slightly exaggerating here, but if anyone reads this and is in charge of a discord like this: please just make a channel saying "Game Status" and post the current phase there. I understand you may be inclined to think "but my whitepaper here will tell everyone" - the reality is: no, it doesn't cause it simply doesn't tell people if the game is a game yet or still unlinked lines of code that no one can actually try.
I am, truly and passionately, a fan of having a discord server for every game. In fact, not having a discord server is a no-go for me and I appreciate its usage deeply. Just please consider writing basic info that is telling people the basics of your game. Where it can be downloaded, what your requirements are (is a wallet mandatory and if yes, where to get one and how to set it up), and whether the game is playable or not.
Cause the reality is: it's annoying to leave that part to your potential players. Even condoms have a user manual, why not crypto games?
Cheers and thanks in advance!
[Rant] Can the "New Crypto Game" discords please tell me in which phase the game is in currently?
