A few years ago I was thinking about a battery that would work with sea water. My intention was to put to mine an obsolete phone I had and that battery would supply the current indefinitely, the project did not come out. The amperage was too low and the charging of the phone was not going well.

But in the process I was researching ways to use the phone as a miner. It is a very crazy idea because the power of the phone has nothing to dowith the power of a real mining equipment but I was just doing it for fun.

As a result I found a mobile or computer app that does not mine cryptocurrencies through our computer in the conventional way but by having it running it generates passive income.

After testing it for a day or two I forgot about it. But checking my phone I found the icon again and when I accessed it I saw that I had 1.01 euros. I remembered what it was and I started to investigate it to tell you about it:

It turns out that the application (mobile or computer version) connects to a network to offer a proxy service. That means your computer or mobile become a bridge for people who don't want their ip tracked.

This is one of the most sinister and risky things I have seen. Since there are people right now surfing the internet saying that they are doing it from my computer. And obviously who hires a proxy service has no intention of doing anything good at all...

The company is called IP Royal and their website is quite simple and have a lot of promotion of their products. Everything organized by categories. Seems to be made with wordpress or shopify through some template and the website itself have a link to the Trustpillot website where they rate it with 4.3 (Not bad numbers). The most recent comment there is from 3 hours ago at the time I'm writting this article and it's a positive one so it seems that they are not scam and that they pay. Although of course they take a pretty high commission. These are their ratings according to this portal:

The minimum withdrawal is 5 usd as they say and can be paid in Bitcoin and by paypal. I havn't had the opportunity to check by myself if they're paying or not. But in the comments people are saying so (I know sometimes you can't trust the commentaries but it's all i have for now...).

For now I'm going to use it for a while to see how it goes. Although I will use it on the laptop as I have it always turned on I see it as a very useful application to activate the mobile when you have it connected to the wifi at home and you're not using it. As the only thing that consumes are internet data you do not have to worry about overloading the mobile or power consumption. What I find strange is to have ignored a passive income that apparently is so good and simple.
