Presearch is a search engine, just like Google and the completely forgotten Yahoo! search engines. I am mostly using DuckDuckGo for the privacy features it offers but I'm always looking for improvement.
I have heard of Presearch before, being in the crypto space for a few years and while I never actually found time to make research, I think that the brand name is already a big one in the Crypto field.
Within the years of research into hundreds of cryptocurrency projects, I have come across too many that were made quickly just to exploit the hype and make easy cash from uninformed investors. I have set the bar high since the ICO craze and the recent DeFi scams that made investment funds disappear and reduced the market.
The Platform
What I was looking for was a quality search engine respecting privacy, having a friendly user interface, and a large selection of options to allow customization and a better user experience according to one's needs.
Presearch didn't fail in any of these. I enjoyed using it and I will probably be using Presearch for my searches from now on. The monetization of daily searches is another positive feature and while the PRE tokens given in the platform can be seen as a long grind by some, the way I see it is a reward for using the platform instead of getting nothing in return by performing the random web browsing we were doing without Presearch.
The idea and the logic behind the project are great and the implementation seems to be in the right direction. I have to admit that I was expecting less from what I found. A very organized and detailed environment with a team working on achieving the roadmap on time.
First of all, I was captivated by the user-friendly interface and how easy everything was when beginning. After signing up a tutorial was ready to explain the basics in just a few minutes.
It only takes a few minutes to become aware of how to use the presearch website which is as fast as using google itself. My first step in the Presearch platform was to submit a search for the word "Presearch". I could have pressed the different icons to select to search into a website like Google or Twitter but I decided to first check the Presearch search engine.
I got the response to my query in milliseconds which was pleasant. The page response was instant and I was looking at a high-quality search results page. The format is similar to the typical search engine results we get. This is efficient and required from a search engine, but what caught my attention was the toolbar with the rest search providers being available on the left of the screen.
As far as I am concerned, the search engine passed the first real test, and everything else details. Details are important though and should be checked as my second search was for the string "Merkle Tree" and on top of the search results, there was an advertisement about someone cutting trees in Ontario. I don't like ads and use adblockers so probably my Adblock is not updated on the Presearch engine. But this is something minor and I bet that Google search users are also having some results and ads that are irrelevant to the search they made.
I turn the personalized ads off on all the Google products I am using and I also suggest finding a way to manually block all companies that are mining our data from these services. Needs some time but you will find it, and it is not relevant for this post to explain.
After these two searches, I returned to the Presearch homepage where I noticed I have already earned 0.12 PRE from my two searches!
These are the PRE rewards. It is well known that Presearch has a system that rewards the users of this platform. This is something that slowly starts being implemented in more platforms, for example in Reddit where users of the /r/cryptocurrency subreddit are rewarded in Moon Tokens.
Presearch was one of the first platforms that implemented monetization of the use of the platform and rewarded its users with financial gain. The rewards are small as expected as just writing a word and pressing search isn't exactly a strong effort. So we can earn up to a maximum of 8 Presearch each day while using the platform. The 25 PRE earned initially, was a referral reward after signing up using Publish0x referral from the link of the contest.
As I see it even with a low reward that needs dedication and time, using Presearch is still better than using Google as for the same and perhaps even better quality, we receive financial gain that with Google we wouldn't. Presearch is the search engine of choice for more than two million users already.
Another reason to use presearch is how easy it is to organize the search providers that we frequently use and select those that we want to have instant access to. We can select out of 178 search result providers, including Google, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, and many more. Even Publish0x is an option for us to retrieve search results from.
It gives a wide variety for customization which is a good step into creating a better search engine than anything else we have seen until today. An engine that not only has a stand-alone version but is also interconnected with the top search engines and websites we use daily.
I selected a few of the websites I occasionally visit, like eBay, Reddit, and Cointelegraph, and arranged them in an order that suits me better. This kind of customization is another positive that will soon be active in many more websites, as it creates a better user experience by giving more options to arrange and exclude items not wanted or used.
Respecting Privacy
It is well known by now that Google is spying on each of the users of their products. Anything we write or any click even mouse movements are recorded permanently in the Google servers. All data is processed by automated algorithms and used to provide targeted advertisements. Furthermore, Google has previously shared user data with governments and authorities, whenever asked.
Privacy is a basic human right and a company or government gathering data on their citizens is something that should be worrying us. This data is not going to be used for the betterment of our society but instead will be maliciously used in attempts to control the public and silence the different opinions. Moreover, we shouldn't forget that Google as well as many more tech giants have cooperated with the authoritarian regime of China and shown disrespect to the basic human rights of Chinese citizens that are undermined for decades.
Presearch passed this test too, as it clearly states that it protects the users privacy and doesn't log search history. Of course, complete privacy requires many steps and complete anonymity is not easy to be achieved without the required knowledge and use of certain technologies. (Tor, VPNs, etc.). But it pleases me to see that Presearch is not in the model of Google, Facebook, or Twitter that for years were hiding the mishandling and selling of private data to advertisers and marketing companies. The approach of Presearch is more honest than the competition.
Reward System
Presearch rewards the users with PRE tokens. This is an Ethereum ERC20 token that can be withdrawn when certain criteria are met. First of all users can earn up to a maximum of 8 PRE daily. With each search being rewarded with 0.12 PRE it means that users will get rewarded for up to 67 searches daily. This number is a very big one that almost nobody is using daily when searching the internet.
The minimum withdrawal is 1000 PRE. But besides that, the users of the platform are ranked in levels. If the searches performed by the user are organic, then the rank will grow to higher levels later on. When starting we are at Level 5, and this means that if we stay at this level, we will be able to withdraw 50% of the tokens we have in our wallet. So in this case, we will require to have gathered 2000 PRE.
The level of each user is determined by algorithms that have certain criteria to exclude spam and reward with higher level the users that perform organic searches using the Presearch features.

The aim of each user should be to reach Levels 8-10 where all the tokens are available for withdrawal from the platform.
The system has a high sensitivity to spam and I am glad to see there are such sophisticated algorithms integrated to support the honest users and exclude the bad players from this. My advice is to use the platform honestly, like you are using google or any other engine for your internet search, and avoid trying to finish 60 searches each day, as this will result in a lower user rank.

PRE price has been on the rise for many months and looking like a strong buy in the chart and according to tradingview oscillators and moving averages.

The chart (1D/Kucoin) is very bullish and while the price can revisit the trend line of support, it still looks that PRE will be shooting higher in the next few weeks. It looks like a formation of a bull flag and perhaps PRE will in later months revisit all-time high prices.
Presearch is currently trading on Uniswap, Kucoin, and Probit. It has a total supply of 500 million PRE with 396 million in circulation.

Epilogue
Overall, Presearch is an underrated project in the crypto world that demands more attention. It has potential, plans, and the will to keep producing and developing an online tool that is currently helping millions and has the potential to be used by billions. It has proven its worth and it has a very professional telegram channel that is very active and communicates with investors and the community. I will be using Presearch from now on, and I am glad that Publish0x reminded me to give a better look at this platform.
