The Magician card conveys the message that your talents and your own gifts are the keys to your success in any situation consulted. It's as if you have all the tools you need in front of you to ensure that potential success manifests.

It is a card that is directly linked to instinct and intuition. When you feel an impulse or a strong need to do something and The Magician arises in your consultation, follow that intuition and things can come to fruition.

It can also indicate a dominant person or that the situation must be resolved with intelligence, practicality and rationality, in addition to announcing the beginning of a love relationship, but it may have impulsive traits.

In the Magician card, we see a man dressed in a robe and a set of tools on his table. The Magician is Tarot card number 1, which suggests beginnings. In his right hand, he holds a staff raised towards the sky and his left hand points to the earth. It is as if you take the higher power and channel it through your own manifestation, directing it to the physical plane. Your destiny and the “magic” you will create to achieve it are directly related to the law of action and reaction.

His magic table contains the four suits of the Tarot, each of which represents one of the four primordial elements of alchemy: Fire, Earth, Air and Water, which respectively symbolize the proper use of the spirit, body, mind and soul in the process of manifestation of consciousness.

The card sports bright colors and its luminous setting represents a crisp and clear view of the situation at hand. His robe is white and has to do with purity, but his cape is red, a color that represents experience and worldly appearance. This duality is repeated in other elements of the letter. We can also see a pentagram (symbolism linked to the suit of Pentacles and the element of Earth), a wand (Sticks/Fire), a sword (Swords/Air) and a cup (Cups/Water). The Wizard is raising his wand, about to perform some spell. Above his head, we see the symbol of infinity, of eternity and around his waist a snake is biting its tail (another symbol of eternity and the beginning, the Ouroboros).

In short, this Arcanum brings an optimistic vision to the situation consulted, which indicates that it can bear good fruit and that you have the possibility of controlling the outcome of things. It suggests that you have all the resources at your disposal and that you can raise your wand and guide your own destiny. This card is associated with the planet Mercury and brings skill, logic and intellect to the situation consulted.
