The Day To Day Life of Salem - 12/25/2022 - Quiet Christmas

Hi Everyone!
Good morning! Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to all whom celebrate. I hope you all found a way to have a special day with your loved ones or if you spent the holiday with yourself that you treated yourself with the love you greatly deserve.
Today's post is a bit late. After yesterday I woke up with the world's literal worst migraine. I also hurt myself yesterday, way to go Salem. Currently eating some leftover pumpkin pie from last night mmmm YUMMY!!!! This pie turned out absolutely delicious if I say so myself, it's the best pumpkin pie I've ever had, I must keep myself from eating the whole pie lol.
As you know I'm up at night due to my work schedule. As I wait to go back to work and as my health hasn't been doing very well I'm slightly mainting my schedule. I take medication and it makes it very hard for me to switch my schedule in the first place and if it's only going to be two more weeks, I don't see the point in switching and then having to switch back. So I rested as much as I could during the evening while everyone was asleep. I don't know what's going on with my health right now but weak that's all I can say, I've just been weak.
In the morning I woke up the dogs for my Dad so he could sleep in, I fed all the animals breakfast, took my little Christmas tree out of my room and moved it into the living room. I sat down on the living room floor playing Christmas music while I wrapped presents for my family. Yes I waited until Christmas Day to wrap my presents, talk about ADHD procrastination lol.
Dad woke up and we sat on the couch watching football. I gave my Dad his presents first. My brother and his wife went to her parents house for the morning. So it was Dad and I in the morning.
I went and laid down because my pain level got really high in the afternoon. I woke up after a couple of hours. When I woke up I gave my brother and his wife their gifts, they opened them up before we had dinner.
My Dad made prime rib, we had mashed potatoes, carrots, gravy, and yams. It was really so good. Dad did an excellent job on dinner. We video chatted with my Mamma and Grandma Rosemary down in California for dinner. We got to say hi to all of the family down there. It was a bit hectic for me. But hey, that's family.
After dinner Dad and I went back to the couch I was so full I felt like I was the actual size of Saint Nicholas himself lol, I wanted to sit up but I kept falling over. I was like "I'm deceased may I rest in peace" lol hehe.
Dad and I watched a bit more football until I eventually was like dude I'm going into my food coma now. Night! I then woke up super late and when I woke up my head was miserable. I've been trying to get it under control before writing. It's still really bad, but I can at least see now. Step in the right direction.
Any advice I have today is if you can't physically be with your loved ones make sure to give them a call, send them a text. Simply remind them that you love them. Friends, family, neighbors. I even have a kid neighbor coming home from her Grandparents in a few days that I will be having over for a bit to give her, her gifts. Because there are people in your life who you care about and who care about you. Never forget about the people who always show up for you. Practice gratitude daily in one way or another.
And something new, goal of the day, give someone a compliment. <3
