The Day To Day Life of Salem - 01/08/2023 - Little Trip

Hi Everyone!
Good Morning! I hope everyone had a good day yesterday. I had a very long day. I was up for about 21 hours I think by the time I was able to get to sleep. I'm night nurse and I also like to be here for Grandma during the day as well as much as possible. So lately sleep has been very off, not much of a sleep schedule occurring at the moment. Just been very, very busy.
Yesterday night nurse duty was very filled with duties lol. Grandma had a hard night. She got up about four times, she had a rough night. Her condition has been declining again. I needed to pull out the wheelchair instead of using the walker because she was far too weak to even use the walker. One reason I'm glad I'm a natural night owl is that I can be here during these times so that my Mamma is able to get some sleep and Grandma doesn't have to worry about not having help when she needs it.
Mom and Dad woke up and we were planning out the day. No nurses or physical therapists were scheduled for the day so we wanted to try and get Grandma out of the house before the storm hit and it became too difficult. Grandma has been wanting to get out of the house. We weren't able to make it out of the house on the 7th because Grandma wasn't doing very well. So we were hoping she was feeling a bit better enough to do something.
We all got ready to go and when we tried to get Grandma up she just wasn't getting up. She was so tired. This is usually what happens when she starts to decline again and it's time to go back to the hospital. She just doesn't want to get up. It took quite a while but eventually we were able to get her up. We quickly noticed that Grandma didn't have enough strength for the Costco run we were originally planning. I informed my Mamma that there is this thing such as Costco grocery delivery lol. Mamma had never heard of it. And I told her that's why I'm here, I'm Gen Z personal assistant at your ready lol! I'm trying to get Mamma hooked up with the things she needs to make getting things easier, for when times come she can't get out of the house.
So I brought up Costco Grocery Delivery up on Grandma's iPad (Yes they are evil Apple Users LOL!!!) I helped Mamma add everything her and Grandma needed to the cart and check out. Mamma was super impressed. Then when I told her that it would be here today in three hours she went "WHAT!" I said "Yes Mamma, same day delivery" she was like "Why do I even go to the stupid store?" HAHAHA!! And this everyone, is why I'm here and why my Mamma has always called me her personal assistant. She was even like THEY HAVE COUPONS ON HERE!!!
Got everything squared away with the Costco order when one of my cousins called. He asked if we could pick him up from his place and bring him along when he found out we were going to take Grandma to a trip to the Dollar Tree. May I remind everyone my family is very toxic. Filled with toxicity. So everything comes at a cost. Nothing goes smoothly. But we picked him up and we took him to Dollar Tree with us.
We put Grandma in the wheelchair as she had no strength, we rolled her around, took her down every single aisle and stopped to look at anything and everything she wanted to look at. She was so happy to get out of the house. It made me so happy to see my Grandma happy out of the house for a little bit.
We got back home by that time I had been up for about 20 hours, I was burning out. My pain was through the roof. I had left my injections back home in my state. I forgot to bring them in a refrigerated pack on the plane with me. Whoops! So my health has been quickly declining. But I'm doing my best to hold myself together for my Grandma and my Mamma.
When we got back we went through the bags from Dollar Tree and did a little DOLLA TREE HAULLLL!!! Lol! Also, my Amazon package arrived. Everyone was so curious at what I had got. I'm like dude it's just my liver supplements haha! I take these liver supplements that really help! They got my liver enzymes down to a normal range. I have two liver conditions and they really helped my liver. I went off of them for like 8 months I'd say and my liver got bad again. So I re-ordered them to get back on them so that I can start cleansing out my system again. My liver really needs all of the help it can get. I will link them down below in case anyone is interested. They work even if you don't have a liver condition and just as a precautionary measure. Even my Dad was sitting there reading the bottle and googling all of its ingredients hehe I'm like why you want it haha!
Finally got my booty in bed!! But while I was asleep my cousin had gotten drunk and was getting quite the attitude. Was being a huge pain in the A$$, was being rude and getting in people's faces. It got bad, so my Dad kicked him out before it got worse. Like I always say, there's always a cost with my family.
My Auntie Tina and Uncle Mark came while I was asleep. They cooked dinner with my parents and had dinner with my Grandma Rosemary. They left me dinner for when I woke up. I was absolutely zonked! I couldn't get up. I hope to see them soon.
Any advice I have for you today is do something today that is selfless. Do something to make someone else smile. Do something today that even though may be small in your mind, just might make someone else's day. Give a compliment, share your muffin, smile at a stranger, give your family a hug, tell someone you love them and appreciate them. You never know, it just might mean the world to them.
