So if you are wondering, What's Pi? How to claim it? When it'd be launched? Does it even worth it? and blah blah blah, then you are at the right place!
Let's get started and learn all about Pi.
First things first!
What's Pi?
Pi is a new digital currency developed by Stanford PhDs and already have more than 8 million members worldwide. Indeed, Pi is the first digital currency for everyday people, representing a major step forward in the adoption of cryptocurrency worldwide.
Pi is building the world’s most inclusive peer-to-peer marketplace. Started on March 2019 PI Network is a new startup Cryptocurrency. It has on 30/10/2019 announced that when they reach 1 Million active users, the currency will be launched in the market and will be made available for exchange!
The Pi Network has a white paper, which is available on the app, and it seems that the development of the app and network has been following the vision set out in this document. It is quite clear that this network has a long term vision and goal and that it is not just another quick scheme. At the very least this makes the intention of the developers seem legit.
How to claim Pi
PI coin is a cryptocurrency that you can mine on your phone and it doesn't even use your battery or RAM. It was designed by a group of Stanford Ph.D. graduates and it's development and future completely relies on its community, that is, the users and their joint engagement. PI is mined through proof of consensus, which is basically where your phone communicates with a bunch of nodes and nodes collectively decide on what the solution to the next block is (whereas with BTC it's more where the solution is already set, and whoever gets the solution first gets the reward).
The app doesn't drain your battery or uses RAM because it doesn't rely on proof of work, instead of on proof of consensus, how much reliable users you have in your secure circles, the more your mining rate is and the more coins you get.
So the question arises, how do you mine? You have to open the app and click on one button every 24h just to proof that you are not a robot and that you are a credible contributor to the network, simple as that! It doesn't need to run in the background, so you can close the app at any time just DON'T FORGET to open it once in 24h to click the button.
When it'd be launched?
There are speculations that the currency will be available for exchange when the network reaches 10M active users. As per the white paper provided in the Pi app, the currency will be available to be exchanged in the phase 3 (Mainnet). At this stage, the faucet and Pi network emulator of their Phase-1 will be shut down and the system will continue on it's own, forever.
Does it even worth it?

Well, no one knows yet if it worth it or not because it isn’t on the market yet, it’s still in the beta phase. But, it’s free, doesn’t cost you anything to try and as they say "Try and fail but do not fail to try", so there's no loss in giving it a go! Bitcoin, people didn’t know what to expect, and now you can see for yourself where bitcoin is right now. I hope that in the future it will grow as huge as bitcoin because it is proven that it's possible. Maybe Pi won’t worth something in the future and maybe it will, you never know, so give it a go. (Please applaud my rhyme ;P)
So wanna give it a go? You can join the network by invitation from other members and downloading the app. The greater your network, the greater will be your mining rate. You can accelerate your mining rate by inviting other members to join using your code.
You can download the app from here ->Pi App. You'd need to join an earning team to start mining. You are welcome to use my code (sidcr7) to join my earning team and start mining today!
If you still have any query or wanna know more about the project then please read the FAQ's on their official webpage from here.
I hope you guys enjoyed reading (p.s. this is my first blog).
