The greatest wealth transfer in the history of the world
is now underway.
This is all due to the availability and mass adoption of a new asset
that not only challenges the use of fiat currencies worldwide,
but also revolutionizes the whole concept of transactions in general.
This new asset is non-other than cryptocurrencies.
A digital form of money, which can be a digital coin or token that runs
on the all-new decentralized blockchain technology.
There are several factors that greatly contributes to the transfer of value
from fiat to cryptos: Economical uncertainty, currency devaluation,
inflation, timing, new opportunities and FOMO, which is the fear of
missing out. These have all played a part in creating the right conditions
for the current wealth transfer to occur.
This wealth transfer has been happening now for many years,
I know this because I too have been a part of it.
From my experience, time is money and money is energy.
And for the last couple of years, I have been exchanging the majority
of my time and energy exclusively for cryptos.
I had the option of receiving payments in fiat
but my understanding and knowledge of what this new asset is,
and will yet become have prevented me from doing that.
I am just 1 out of hundreds of thousands of people
who have now chosen to receive payments in cryptos.
And by this decision, we have made a powerful statement.
We have taken an action that will cause a reaction that will spread
like wildfire as cryptocurrencies get adopted.
There may be some who would like to know what gives cryptocurrencies
its value. The first and simple answer is people. From the moment that
it was chosen by someone to be used as an alternative means of exchange,
it became valuable in that instant. Cryptocurrencies also gain value
from their various functions in solving problems for society.
At the peak of the bull run in 2017, the market capitalization for the entire
cryptocurrency market was nearly 1 trillion dollars.
At the time of writing this article, it stands at around 170 billion dollars.
Don't think that either of these price points came out of thin air, no.
The value of cryptocurrencies then and now was given by people like me,
and millions of others who have transferred their hard work, time, emotions
and energy into it.
Other assets are also playing a part in this wealth transfer,
such as precious metals like gold and silver.
The current global market capitalization of Gold is around 8 trillion dollars.
Regardless of the giant gap in value between Gold and cryptos right now,
I believe that cryptocurrencies will become far more valuable in the long run.
I think both gold and silver are an excellent store of value as I have also
allocated a small percentage of my investments into them.
In terms of practicality though,
one don't have to be a rocket scientist to know that if you wanted to move
2 million dollars worth of gold or silver from New York to India or Dubai,
you would have to wait and pay dearly.
On the other hand, with cryptocurrencies the only waiting and paying
you would have to do, depending on timing..is alot less than 30 minutes
and less than 30 dollars.
In conclusion
There is a massive shift in financial value that is taking place right now
and those who have positioned themselves to take advantage of it
will not only secure their finances but also become very wealthy in the process.
And for the skeptics, I can only say that the signs of this shift are everywhere.
From the destabilization and closure of financial institutions
around the globe to the increase of crypto exchanges, payment platforms,
online crypto jobs, crypto education, crypto apps, and Dapps
which are decentralized applications.
It is very easy to see for anyone who is paying attention
that the greatest transfer of wealth in the history of the world
is happening right now. Will you be a part of it?
