A few days ago, I wrote that I did add Satoshihero to my faucet portfolio! Now it is time, to see if it is worth your time!
For the ones who don't know SatishiHero, it is a respected and long lasting bitcoin faucet app/website! There are multiple ways to earn some small pieces of BTC.
Withdrawal limit
When you look if a faucet website is worth your time or not, one of the important things is the withdrawal limit.
At Satoshihero there are 2 possible withdrawal methods:
- To faucetaddress: in this case the withdrawal limit has been set on 10000 sats;
- To a standard BTC address: in this case the withdrawal limit has been set on 30000 sats.
Ways of earning
The easiest way of earning but also the long route to a cash out is their Free Bitcoin wheel. Each 20 minutes you do get 3 free spins. Watch out these don't accumulate. So the timer only starts again when you did spin the wheel 3 times.
While there is a juicy 250000 Sats to be won, don't expect this to happen. I did spin the wheel dozens of times but the highest reward I did get is 5 Sats and this only once. Most of the time it is 1 or 2 sats, with the 1 Sat winning by a mile!
So suppose that you do earn 4 sats on average per 20 minutes, you could win up to 12 sats per hour. Which is a little bit better than on Freebitco.in!
Let's suppose 25 times a day would earn you 100 sats per day. Not bad, but also not incredible!
The faster way of earning
The do have an offerwalls where you can find all ways of earning a much bigger reward in Satoshi than with the wheel. There are surveys who do pay over 2000 sats, but of course this route is more time consuming. But this for sure can give your account a push in the back!
I mostly focus on the surveys of CPX research, but I still have to try out others.
Ways of loosing your stake fast!
Of course each faucet does want to win earnings back, don't they. And this is the biggest difference with freebitco.in! They don't have a simple spin of the wheel but are more like a stand out crypto casino. Offering lots of slots and also the game shows of Evolution gaming.
The problem here for me is that the minimal ante is way too high! For sure if you just started!
Probably the cheapest way of gambling is using the Free Bitcoin wheel. You can also, besides spinning it for free, spin it with a wager. Each spin does cost you than 100 sats. Let me say a day of earnings. But the rewards are higher of course! Starting from 25 sats (yep you would spinning at a loss) up to 100000 sats.
Their emails!
Just like freebitco.in they do send you a daily email. But in the days that I have been registered (3), it looks like you can move them directly to the trashcan. This is a big difference with Freebitco.in, where each email contains a ticker for their wheel of fortune!
It is worth your time?
This of course a question everybody has o answer for themselves. If you really do believe that BTC can reach an all time high of $1M every sat you will earn will be worth your time.
If you only spin the wheel 25 times a day, you will need around 300 days to perform a withdrawal.
If you add one survey per day or use any other offer, this time can of course be reduced drastically. By earning 600 Sats per day you could reduce this to 50 days.
I will keep on grinding their until I do reach the withdrawal limit, I am loosing only time :). After that I will see what I do with it. In three day I did earn 3019 sats. So around 1000 sats a day, which for sure isn't bad for a faucet. This would mean that I can withdraw after 27 more days.
A minor issue is that it doesn't seem to be working with the brave browser here. I don't know if this has to with my laptop or that it is something general!
