It's Saturday Folks! As the year comes to a close it appears Bitcoin will go out as a lamb; really quiet. While we've seen some big news this week, nothing earth shattering or anything that would strongly impact the price of $BTC. Let's recap the week, shall we?
Monday the price of Bitcoin closed at $16,439.68 and the sentiment followed the previous week as it saw the first bearish engulfing candle for the week. The most covered news of the day was SBF agreeing to be extradited back to the US. In addition, Grayscale signaled that they may return some capital to investors if GBTCs ETF dreams fail and Binance agreeing to purchase Voyager for at least $1B.

Tuesday the price of Bitcoin closed at $16,906.30 and the sentiment turned slightly positive as the Bank of Japan allowed benchmark bond yields to rise. The most covered news of the day was Bitcoin that belonged to QuadrigaCX were being moved and BlockFi indicating that some customers who were not getting yield on their assets might be able to pull them off the platform. In addition, Greenidge reached a debt restructuring deal with NYDIG as bankruptcy loomed.

By Wednesday (Humpday) the price of Bitcoin closed at $16,817.54 and the sentiment remained slightly positive with talk about the price rebounding to $18.4K. The most covered news of the day was Core Scientific filing for chapter 11 bankruptcy and peer-to-peer Crypto marketplace Paxful removing $ETH from its platform.

Right over the hump on Thursday the price of Bitcoin closed at $16,830.34 and the sentiment was turning bearish as Bitcoin dipped below $16.7K with a fresh BTC price "death cross." The most covered news of the day was Caroline Ellison getting a plea deal and SBFraud being released on a $250MM bail secured by his parents.

As the week came to a close on Friday the price of Bitcoin closed at $16,796.95 and the sentiment was a bit bullish as Bitcoin was poised to rally big-time on PCE release; but that didn't materialize. The most covered news of the day was Hong Kong legislator aiming to woo Web3 businesses through a startup accelerator.

Bottom line folks is I will be excited to enjoy the Holidays with family and friends. One more week and we will close the chapter known as 2022 and start a new chapter in Bitcoin's history. As Mark Yusko says, "price is a liar and is noise." Only in looking back will any of this make sense so I continue to encourage each of you to remain patient with Bitcoin, I believe if you do you will be very excited about the outcome.
