Of course, cryptos will die. Every human invention and convention has a shelf life. Have you ever bought anything with the face of Julius Caesar on it? Does anyone accept the Deutsche Mark anymore? Do you plow a field with equipment that was made in the 1700’s? When was the last time you made a phone call from a pay phone? All of these technologies and conventions died and were replaced by other things. Cryptocurrency will someday die as well; just as Quora will die, Facebook will die, and the modern internet will die.

Nothing made by humans lasts forever.

Do I think cryptocurrencies are going to die soon? No.

  • New users join cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin everyday.
  • There are thousands of developers working on cryptocurrency projects.
  • There are plenty of merchants that accept cryptocurrency.
  • Major players like Paypal are integrating cryptocurrency into their systems.

Crypto is not dead. It’s just a toddler. It still doesn’t move fast enough and it still has accidents. But it’s growing up fast.

What’s really dying is the traditional government fiat currencies; their white hairs are starting to show even with the hair dye.
