My first Etherium withdrawal to my cold storage wallet

My First Etherium Transfer From PublishOx To Cold Storage

A few months ago, I purchased a Ledger Nano X bluetooth enabled hardware wallet that allows me to privately hold crypto and NFTs. I follow a lot of alternative and independent media and for a few months prior to the FTX scandal (no arrests yet??),  I'd been picking up hints that crypto exchanges were in trouble and that it was a very good idea to move your digital assets to cold storage.

I found their advice was reliable and decided it was time to take possession of my assets to gain full control. After seeing that some 1 million FTX customers got screwed over in the last month, I'm glad I made the decision to purchase a Ledger Nano X. So far, it's worked great and I've had transactions come into my Bitcoin and Etherium wallets. It's incredibly easy to use too.

My first transaction was from CryptoTab Browser, of which I'd earned 1,100 free Bitcoin Satoshis. It's not much, I know but it gave me the chance to test try a transaction to my wallet. First, I had to sync my Ledger Nano X to the Ledger app installed on my computer. This can be done on a cell phone as well. Once they were paired, I created a Bitcoin account which then created a unique wallet address for which I can now safely store tokens within the Bitcoin blockchain. All I had to do was give instructions to CryptoTab Browser by entering my new Bitcoin address. Careful though, it's a long address with numbers and letters, both uppercase and lowercase so check and double check you've entered your wallet address correctly before clicking the confirm button (There's more in my previous post: 'My first successful crypto transfer to my Ledger Nano X cold storage wallet').

I must have checked three times before I clicked 'OK'. A couple of hours later, I reopened the Ledger app and there and there was 0.001100 Bitcoin. Like I stated above, it's not a lot but the important thing was that the test was successful. At this point, I can say, 'It's official, I've entered the cryptoverse and there's no turning back'.

If you've never done this before, I can tell you that it's very easy to do so don't be afraid about any technical stuff. Ledger made it easy to work with.

Now, with my confidence up a notch, I was ready to move my Etherium from PublishOx for the first time. As I did with installing my Bitcoin address, I created an Etherium account and was given a new wallet address on the Etherium blockchain. I entered this new addy on PublishOx's withdrawal page and once again, I double and even triple checked before clicking 'confirm'. They'll send you an email as well to verify your new withdrawal address as an added layer of protection.

I had to wait a couple of days because PublishOx does each and every withdrawal transaction manually. PublishOx sent a confirmation email the withdrawal was complete. I then checked the Ledger app and there was the fractional Etherium I had earned in tips (thanks to you!).

I have just successfully completed my very first Etherium transaction. Maybe you felt the same way when you made your first transaction? Hopefully, you will when that time comes. The vast majority of Earthlings have never possessed any crypto but I think that will soon change. Even though the crypto space is in a downturn and a lot of cryptos are going down, the savvy among us will know which tokens will work for the long term. Those same savvy folks will also know to keep their cryptos in cold storage.

Another good thing about having purchased a Ledger Nano X was that it allowed me to set up a referral code / link. As a blogger, I love to write and my referral link can be placed in all my posts going forward. If, by chance a visitor clicks my referral link and then decides to make a purchase, Ledger will reward me with $10 in Bitcoin. Thank you in advance for your support!

If you're a blogger on PublishOx like I am, you too can place your own Ledger referral links in all of your articles once you buy your own Ledger Nano X. You can then store all your digital assets privately, in cold storage while promoting Ledger with the chance to earn free Bitcoin, a win / win situation.

The next transaction I've just executed is the withdrawal of my AMPL tokens I've accrued from the many tips I've gotten from readers / visitors. I've set it to go into my Etherium account. Let's hope it works. I'll keep you posted.

As for the many tips, I can't thank you enough. It really encourages me to write and you're letting me know I'm doing something right. I also appreciate the many comments. I love it when my articles encourages active engagement. Each comment then becomes part of the story. Please, keep them coming!

Peace and Love to everyone.
