The MOST POWERFUL investing strategy
I dislike being “maxi”. For those who are unfamiliar with the term, it is being used extensively for Bitcoin maximalists who believe that Bitcoin is the only way to go and that every other crypto is trash.
This approach is just wrong. For many reasons. I’ll give you three quick ones.
First, the world of investing has flavour. You go to an ice cream shop, and you understand why they offer so many flavours. Because not everything suits every one. There is no one size fits all. Each is tailored made.
Second, Bitcoin is the progenitor of the crypto world. But it is NOT the ONLY crypto currency that people can invest in.
Third, why would you only hold something that you cannot legitimately “stake” for rewards? Just look at Ethereum. Staking it will yield you 5%, in addition to the price increases if crypto moons.
But what I’m going to be sharing in today’s article is basically that the investing strategy of any would-be TOP notch investor, is to have proper diversification and not be overly focused on one asset class. Crypto is an asset class on its own. The research literature is clear – diversifying within crypto does not make any sense because it is so tightly correlated. Remember the May 2021 plunge in Bitcoin prices? What happened to the rest of the market?
In that sense, investment should be seen as a capital allocation to things that make you more money or creates greater impact in the world that results in you being rewarded in the process.
Personally, I like being in a forward-looking mode and I like allocating capital to companies and businesses that have the power to exert outsized influence in impacting one part of society/life and reap good profits in return.

As you can see, what we are interested to get into are areas that will make a “dent in the universe” and not “sell sugared water for the rest of our lives” (ala Steve Jobs). And we believe that the opportunity lies not just in the private investing market where venture capital is allocated to companies to grow before the IPO stage. There are opportunities to be had in the public investing markets. This means that AFTER companies have done their initial public offering or at least, filed for it, we will analyse them and if they make sense, we will put a stake in them to watch them grow.

THE OPEN MINDSET
But this requires you to have an open mindset to work around just having it all in crypto or all in fiat. Or all in stocks only, for that matter. There are tons of opportunities to be had in the world of investing. What we need to do is first have the mindset to walk through and work through the biases and kinks in our thinking pertaining to them.
