This bit of art, like many of the things I do, started off by just drawing shapes and seeing what develops. After the shapes started swirling around a bit I thought it would be nice to turn it into a pattern and add some basic, bold colors to it.
It was sort of an interesting small project to work on. At the moment I don’t have a drawing tablet like a Wacom, but sometime I’ll probably buy one and then the art projects will be even more fun and interesting to do.
Of course I can always draw something on paper and scan it into the computer and work with it that way, but it’s a lot more work and requires a lot more steps than simply drawing on the computer directly. Plus drawing directly on the computer has a number of advantages with the various tools that are available.
Sometime I might do an article about drawing something by hand and then scanning it into the computer for those that are curious about such a technique.
