I was just playing around with Krita, the free open source digital painting application (https://krita.org), and I came up with these simple shapes. After coloring them in, I thought they looked like they could be from the background of a game.
Working like this, drawing different shapes and coloring them in, is also a great way to come up with maps for games and stories that you’re developing or working on.
