This Friday the Euro 2020 (yes 2020) will kick off. Normally the house and workplace in the office already has been decorated with flags and all other kinds of stuff.
There are lots of reason for this, among others:
- the covid pandemic;
- I am getting older;
- lesser contacts with friends;
- life has changed a lot.
The house during the past world cup!

The office during the past world cup!

Of course also a little bit to tease the Dutch because I do work in the Netherlands.
Now
Well it is just empty. Also to busy with life to find some motivation to set up things. And this is a pity, because this is maybe one of the last times in a my life that Belgium could be a real contender to take home the cup.
Yes, we do have some problem with DeBruyne being injured, Witsel who is recovering from a nasty injury and Hazard is looking for his form.
Also our defense is getting older by the day.
Normally we shouldn't have any problem with reaching the second round.
The odds of Pinnacle:
Country Odds France 5.5 England 6 Belgium 6.5 Germany 8 Spain 8.5 Portugal 9 Italy 9 The Netherlands 13 Denmark 26 Croatia 34 All other countries Above 50
So, yes we are a real contender. But is has been a strange year with lots of football in a short period of time. Normally there is a longer preparation phase for the Euros or World Championships, now Belgium only had 2 weeks to prepare.
Probably will fever will start when the Euros start. We do play our first game on Saturday against Russia. This should give us some kind of indication if we are ready or not!
We will watch this game on Saturday at a friends house together with 2 other couples. Combined with a BBQ and probably lots of #BEER. Like it should be.
This was on the same place during the last world cup!

Due to construction works at the road in the center of the town and the current covid restriction, we can also forget this kind of atmosphere!

Do you already have some Euro fever?
Who are you rooting for?
Let's try to create some Euro fever by interacting and some friendly banter!
Cheers,
Peter
