I guess not everything can be gold. I knew that I was riding on a hot streak and I did know that this would come to an end. And week 19 was unfortunately the turning point. I was some time ago that I did had to write a red week to the history books. So it is what it is.
The loss is not so bad, a little bit more than 1 unit, -6.77 euro. Due to the fact that the end of week 18 was already turning red, I did slow down. Also because most leagues are running on it's end, it is harder to pick games.
Everything has to be taken into account. Like teams who don't have zip to play for anymore. Teams who are fighting a relegation battle or are fighting to have chance to play in a UEFA league ext season. This things can results into craze results, so I do try to stay away from this. The toughest games are the one where one team is fighting for an European ticket while the other is facing relegation. Which of both teams is the most motivated or is there a team which will crack under the pressure.
Only played 5 games in the past week. Only 2 were won and both games did have odds just below 2. My Saturday game (Southampton vs Fulham) did finally break my loosing streak of 5 games. This 5 game streak is the longest for this year.
Surprisingly I am still making a healthy profit for the month May. And within sports betting the long term view is way better than a short term view. We always will have losers and winners. As long as the winner does give you more return than the loosing tickets will cost you, you are fine! Remember than there aren't a lot of punters who do make a long term profit.
So a loosing week is neglectable, a loosing month is annoying, a loosing year can happen! Do remind yourself of this.
