Catching Fairings
Even though SpaceX routinely launches and lands their Falcon 9 rocket boosters there are more components that they had initially wished to recover after a launch. The most noticeable of those was catching the fairings that encompass the cargo. Easier said it is the thing at the top of the rockets that deal with all of the heat and pressure that is applied to the rocket as it ascends into the atmosphere.
Catching the fairings turned out to be a rather difficult thing that SpaceX has spent a few years trying to accomplish. When the fairings were released and returned to Earth the idea was to have a parachute deploy to slow it down and have it land in a net above a boat. Two different boats had been fitted with these huge nets to catch the fairings however there were many misses and the fairings would be plucked out of the water. Due to never really being able to pull it off and the boats being put in danger when pulling them out of the water SpaceX has ended this program. They have a new boat that will retrieve the fairings for now but the huge net boats are now gone.
Second Stage of a Falcon 9 Comes Back
In March the West Coast of the US saw what turned out to be the second stage of a previous Starlink launch burn up in the atmosphere. While this is typical for SpaceX this one was an oddity because the second stage had stopped responding to control so it was stuck until Earth's gravity pulled it down. While most of it burned up there was a 1.5-meter piece that actually landed on a Washington farmer's land! After the sheriff's department was called about it they informed SpaceX who came and retrieved the rocket piece.
Now in Oregon through a blackened overpressure container has washed ashore. Now it has not been confirmed to be SpaceX's but given the recent news so far it has assumed to be. Since it has been deemed nonhazardous it has been transferred to a different location in hopes of identifying with certainty what it is and whos it is. Below is a picture of the possible SpaceX junk.

Youtuber Breaks into Boca Chica
Finally in some really dumb news it has come out recently that before SN11 was launched a youtube broke into the testing facility in Texas to record. I have never understood why people do things like this. To video yourself committing a crime is just such a dumb thing to do. While many people will blame SpaceX for the lax security the reason for that is because nothing is out there. As someone who has been to the area 30-40 times in my life it is an hour's drive roughly from Brownsville, Texas and Brownsville is not a large city. There is just not a large population there so why spend millions on security if no one lives in the area. I mean they bought out all the home nearby!
There is no reason for someone to do this as SpaceX has gone above and beyond in letting people video and set up cameras on their property! I just cannot wrap my head around pushing the limits with this. The guy clearly did it for attention and the clicks and needs to be punished accordingly. I mean what if he had messed up a Raptor engine or damaged some ground based equipment. Its not fair to everyone else to do this and then possibly have SpaceX in return build the walls and remove peoples cameras. Nothing good could have come out of this and if just gave the government reasoning to have SpaceX spend a bunch of money on security and change how they let the public around the site.
