Before I landed my first full-time job in Congress I will give myself some credit and say I did a pretty fantastic job of posting almost daily. This was key to really jump-starting having a successful blog on Publish0x as I was navigating writing for the first time. When I started in March I thought I would be able to continue to post on Publish0x at the same level that I had come accustomed to.
A few months ago I finally started posting on r/Cryptocurrency as well typically just sharing an article I found interesting or commenting on someone's post. What I now see looking back was I set myself up for failure. I was stretched pretty thin as it was but I figured how hard could it be just to link some article to a post once a day. The issue wasn't the posting rather it was the MOONS that I was getting every four weeks. I had rejoined the subreddit before the mainnet launch and had no idea that it was going to happen. Once it did and especially when I looked at what I was in theory earning money wise it really caught my attention.
As work got more and more chaotic the little balance that I had was thrown into a spiral and so I just kept trying to grind away no matter what as the reward in my eyes at the time was well worth it. By the time work died down I had actually formed a sort of pattern around it so when we went into recess in August I fell off posting as I traveled and had LASIK done and then when we entered recess again in October it was just the last thing on my mind. For me, it was crazy to look back and see that I needed that super jam-packed schedule to be able to maintain my posting habits, and given a bunch of free time I really short-circuited and did not know what to do! I have recently been figuring it out more and more now and have been able to incorporate writing a post like this in the morning when I first get to work and work on another one that I will finish up the next day or if I am feeling crazy the same day.
It has to be said this is easily the best side hustle I could have ever imagined having the freedom to be able to talk about what I want and go off topic like this post is considering what I typically write about is something I never imagined being able to do!
