While cryptocurrency is one of my interests, my real passion is digital marketing - in particular web analytics. It can be a rather solitary pursuit though, so I've found it useful to attend events in order to network and sharpen my skills. But physical events like MeasureCamp are wildly popular, with many more people wanting tickets than are actually available. As a result, the tickets are issued by ballot and only the lucky few are able to attend. I've missed out on several occasions.
That all changes next week with MeasureSummit, a virtual event focused on data and analytics. It's free (unless you stump up for a paid 'all access pass'), and because it's a virtual event there's no limit to the number of people who can attend - more than 7,500 have registered already. Here's the official blurb:
For the first time ever, the world’s smartest data-driven marketers and analytics experts join forces to share with you what’s new, what’s hot, and what’s working RIGHT NOW when it comes to measuring your marketing.
If you’re a marketing professional, agency owner, or entrepreneur and you want to know your numbers, the MeasureSummit 2020 is for YOU.
It runs for four days from Tuesday onwards, with five sessions each day covering everything from marketing attribution to Google Analytics audits - check out the public Google Calendar for the full agenda. The sessions are broadcast live but can be viewed for up to 24 hours afterwards, so things like timezones shouldn't pose a problem.
My favourite experts
What has really attracted me to MeasureSummit though are the speakers. My two all-time favourite analytics experts, Simo Ahava and Julius Fedorovicius (the latter from the Analytics Mania blog) are both speaking, which gives me confidence in the quality of the sessions across the board. Unlike some events, I'm sure this won't be a lame attempt to push one particular piece of software or sell a service.
And if you love a freebie, it's not just the free tickets that will appeal: everyone who registers can enter a prize giveaway to win training, website audits, books and more. The main prize is a one-year licence to Supermetrics, with your choice of either a BigQuery, Sheets or Data Studio connector. I'm not a BigQuery man myself, but apparently that BigQuery licence is valued at up to $20K.
I'm in no way affiliated with MeasureSummit and I'll gain nothing from you attending, apart from an additional entry into the prize giveaway if you register using my referral link. I'm just particularly excited about this event and want to share it with all the good people at Publish0x, as I suspect I'm not the only digital marketer or analyst here. (But if you are looking for any assistance with Google Analytics, Tag Manager or Data Studio, then I may be able to help!)
