With all that is happening recently in Thailand, I would like to know what are your thoughts on the Monarchy of Thai? Especially if you had any first-hand experience living in Thailand.
Note I am not a fan of Democracy(yes it starts with Plato and Aristotle! If they didn't like it why should I?) And I feel Monarchy can be a higher level of evil. So what is my prefered way of Governance? I don't know. I just complain!
It may be offensive to people who support the Thai(or any other) monarchy with these questions. In my view no questions are stupid. Someone once told me `the question didn't ask are the only stupid ones`. So If these questions are offensive I don't know what to do. I have no intention to insult someone consciously.
{ Why such long excuses and caution? When I visited Thailand about 6 years ago I have read that making a tattoo of Load Budha is an offence in Thailand. I think I can comprehend that! It doesn't make true just because I don't care or I don't have exposure to them. If someone values then I should respect them. At least in their home. If I visit a temple in India I should wear a proper dress which won't offend others or I should not go there. That is my view.}
- I disagree with the idea of inheritance. if I am the king doesn't make my kids qualify for the power I hold. I know that that may not be the truth of reality. If you look at the statistics of the world, my view may easily be proved wrong. Most of the rich/powerful guys in UK all are by inheritance. Not just the monarch in the UK, even the upper-middle class in the UK follow the same. Most of the top lawers/doctors or other professionals all in the UK are hereditary.
- How can the Monarch be God?
- I am not just saying these monarchs are placed there by the God. The Thai Monarch considered himself as God.
- Monarchs bring more money to the contrary by tourism.
- This is one of the argument I usually hear from the European Monarchs UK/Spain/Duch/Belgium/Liechtenstein/Luxembourg/Norway/Sweeden etc.. (Did I miss any in Europe? Yes some small ones like Monaco and elk). My reply to them is to find something real for tourism than this nonsense.
- How can a king live in Germany and rule Thailand?
I don't much care for all the personal allegations against him nor the wealth(legal/illegal) or the number of cars he owns.
Finally, if I place a Hunger game salute here why that offensive?
