This is an innovative business deal by Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft.
They may not announce the acquisition publicly.
The OpenAI board has also been changed.
Functionally, the new board of OpenAI has to dance to the tune of Microsoft.
Microsoft acquired many companies in the past.
Microsoft acquired the Nokia handset business in 2014 and LinkedIn in 2016.
What has happened to the two acquisitions?
Has the Nokia handset business prospered after the Microsoft acquisition?
Has LinkedIn's functioning as a professional network platform improved after Microsoft acquired it?
Nokia's business dropped under Microsoft's ownership.
LinkedIn's blogging deck Pulse was removed after Microsoft's acquisition.
The present blogging interface of Microsoft is worse than Pulse.
OpenAI's position is as expected.

Elon Musk, who is also an investor in OpenAI, posted an opposite remark.
He calls all these exercises "Nice marketing stunt."
